A disposable medical glove is provided that includes one or more anti-contamination pockets configured to receive a stethoscope diaphragm and thereby protect it from contamination during patient examinations. Additionally, it frees the use of the user's fingers and can be used to store additional objects. In a preferred embodiment, the medical glove comprises an ambidextrous glove body having a pocket on both sides of the glove. Each pocket can be utilized in two configurations. In the first configuration, the pocket is accessed from the outside of the glove and holds the diaphragm against the palmar side of the user's hand. In the second configuration, the pocket is accessed from the inside of the glove and holds the diaphragm a distance from the user's palm, allowing the user to manipulate the diaphragm with their fingers. In an alternate embodiment, the glove has a single dual-configuration pocket on the palmar side.

The illumination data controller is configured for selective mounting in the first pocket. The illumination data controller has a housing with a front face, a top surface, a length, a width and a thickness. The front face includes a light source from which light emanates and the width is greater than the thickness.

Rapidly removable gloves and related methods

Disclosed is a modified set of gloves, system, and method of glove removal and retention that is particularly well suited for, but not limited to, tactical situations (i.e. fast-roping) and action sports environments. In one embodiment, the glove(s) feature at least one catch between at least two fingers of the glove(s). Preferably, the catch defines a mechanism for rapidly removing and retaining the glove(s). Further disclosed is a system for removing the glove(s) featuring a garment with an attached anchor, such as a carabineer or a hook. In a preferred embodiment, the anchor is positioned in the sternum area of the vest and glove wearer. Operably, a user moves the gloved hand(s) down and over the anchor to place the catch on the anchor so that the continued movement of the user's hands rapidly removes and stores the glove(s) via the anchor.

A transformable glove is formed from multiple panels covering the fingertips, palm, and palm heel of a user. In one version, a back panel is joined to a finger panel, a palm panel, and a palm heel panel along side edges to form a glove, while creating openings allowing fingers to be extended outside the glove as desired. The finger panel combines with the distal end of the back panel to form a finger pocket which can be inverted to allow the fingers to emerge from the glove.

A knife assembly includes a knife blade having a stop and a receiver having a cavity for receiving a portion of the knife blade. In some implementations the receiver is secured to a glove, and in other implementations it is secured to a knife handle. The receiver includes a retainer biased toward a retaining configuration in which the retainer engages the stop to prevent the portion of the knife blade from being removed from the cavity. An opening in the receiver provides access to the retainer. The opening is positioned such that a force may be applied therethrough to overcome a bias of the retainer and adjust the retainer to a non-retaining configuration, allowing the portion of the knife blade to be manually removed from the cavity.
