REHABILITATION COMPRESSION GARMENTS
A rehabilitation compression garment includes a shirt, pants and socks each having a plurality of pockets that are positioned so as to correspond to a major muscle group of a garment wearer. Each of the pockets including a connector for securing a therapy pack within the pocket. Each garment is constructed as a form-fitting garment that is sized specifically for either a man, woman or child. Each garment further includes a plurality of fabric patches positioned along the inside facing portion to act as a burn guard.
ICE THERAPY DEVICE
An ice therapy device adapted to provide ice therapy to a portion of a body of an animal or an individual. The ice therapy device comprising at least a first section, at least a second section, at least one joint, and at least one seam, wherein the at least one joint couples the first section and second section together. The first and second sections comprising a pouch configured to house ice cells. The ice therapy device further comprising at least one strap, such that the at least one strap is configured to be removably coupled to the outer surface of the ice therapy device. The at least one seam is adjacent the at least one joint and extends towards an outer edge of the first and second sections, and provides a separation between the first and second section, such that the ice therapy device allows for mobility.
Method and system for regulating core body temperature
A method for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may involve delivering heat to a first location on a limb of the patient, delivering heat to a second location on the limb, apart from the first location, and applying intermittent compression to a third location on the limb, located between the first location and the second location. A device for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may include a sleeve for positioning over at least part of one of the patient's limbs, first and second heat delivery members coupled with the sleeve, and an intermittent compression member coupled with the sleeve between the first and second heat delivery members.
Compression garments
A wrist brace includes a sleeve with a primary layer formed of elastic material that applies a first level of compression, and extends beyond the wrist onto the hand of the wearer, and onto at least a portion of the forearm of the wearer. A first opening and pocket in the sleeve receive a first correspondingly sized/shaped thermal pack, having a width formed to overlie the tendons of the third, fourth, and fifth compartments when the brace is worn. A second opening and second pocket in the sleeve receive a second correspondingly sized/shaped thermal pack having a width formed to overlie the tendons of the first and second compartments when the brace is worn. The sleeve has a particularly shaped layer(s) of high compression material that overlies and applies a second, higher level of compression to the thermal packs contained in the first and second pockets, and seals the openings.
Functional chair for human body correction and thermal therapy
The present disclosure relates to a functional chair for human body correction and therapeutic efficacy promotion by applying heat, including: a main body which includes a sitting plate and a waist plate; a heating means to transfer the heat to a human body by using a ceramic heating element installed in the sitting plate and the waist plate; and a control unit which maintains the temperature of the heating means at a pre-established value and displays an operating status. The present disclosure provides immunity increase and health promotion by keeping a skeletal structure and organs balanced by allowing a user to keep a correct posture when they are sitting on the functional chair and by applying heat to a structure including the sitting and waist plates as a Korean traditional floor heating system, which has no influence of electromagnetic waves, does, provides convenience of portability and performs therapeutic effects for various body parts including the vertebral column, calves, feet, etc.
Equine cryotherapy dual compartment boot
An equine cryotherapy overleg device that encircles the lower limb of a subject horse and provides cryotherapy to the subject horse. The one-piece device includes upper and lower fasteners, a pastern area that will hold ice and ice water and a vertical zipper. The arrangement of the hoof cover, and hoof slipper allow for free movement of the subject horse and for a thermal fluid to contain ice and prevent the ice from migrating under the subject horse hoof.
LAYERED THERMAL CLOTHING FOR GAS-BASED HEAT EXCHANGE WITH BODY PARTS
A method and an article of manufacture are disclosed for exchanging heat with a human body part to reduce fever, reduce localized swelling, warm up feet, cool down the body, increase body core temperature, and the like. A double walled water-tight article of clothing, such as a boot or a glove, may include a fluid inlet and outlet. A single walled but water-tight article of clothing may be used around a body part and allow the water to contact the skin inside the article of clothing for more rapid and direct heat exchange. Pumps, heating or cooling elements, thermometers or other devices may be included with the article of clothing. The article of clothing may be compartmentalized to concentrate the fluid around a particular body part. Multilayered articles of clothing are also disclosed to inject a thermal gas into a heat exchange space to cool or warm a user.
REHABILITATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present invention relates to a rehabilitation system (10) for a patient (22) suffering from a damaged muscle and/or nerve, said system (10) comprising: a stimulation unit (12) for stimulating the damaged muscle and/or nerve; a display (16) for displaying a representation (30) of an affected body part of the patient (22) in which the damaged muscle and/or nerve is arranged; and a control unit (14) for controlling the display (16) to display, concurrently with a stimulation provided by the stimulation unit (12), a visual cue (28, 28) depicted in the representation (30) of the affected body part, wherein said visual cue (28, 28) visually indicates the stimulation of the damaged muscle and/or nerve.
FLUID-BASED THERMAL CLOTHING FOR HEAT EXCHANGE WITH BODY PARTS
A method and an article of manufacture are disclosed for exchanging heat with a human body part to reduce fever, reduce localized swelling, warm up feet, cool down the body, increase body core temperature, and the like.
