The step of applying the thermal stimulus includes the steps of placing two or more guide elements made of two different kinds of metals respectively on at least two different sites of the specific sites, and controlling a temperature of the guide elements to be a range from 40 to 50±5° C., thereby applying the thermal stimulus to the specific sites according to a thermal stimulus pattern so as to increase a rate of blood flow in the subject by 60% or more by the application of thermal stimulus.

A system and/or method for proactively inducing a significant drop in blood pressure during sleep is provided herein. The system includes a blood pressure monitor and a stimulating device that provides stimulation to at least a portion of the person's body. For example, the stimulating device may stimulate a portion of the person's body corresponding to the person's peripheral thermoregulatory control tissue. The stimulation increases or maintains blood flow in the person's glabrous tissue. Additionally, the stimulating device provides stimulation in response to the person's blood pressure being above a predetermined threshold.

In various aspects, the invention includes a wearable therapy delivery device for applying thermal therapy and/or compressive therapy. In some cases, the wearable therapy delivery device includes an inner layer configured to contact a body surface of a user; an outer layer; temperature therapy modules enclosed between the inner layer and the outer layer proximate the inner layer; and/or compressive therapy modules located proximate the one or more temperature therapy modules. In some cases, the compressive therapy modules are configured to force the temperature therapy modules toward the body surface of the user.

The thermal applicator may be removably disposable in operative relationship with the pressure delivery component in a use configuration of the treatment delivery component such that the thermal applicator is disposable between the treatment portion and the pressure applicator when the treatment delivery component is disposed on the treatment portion in the use configuration. Moreover, the pressure applicator is operable to apply pressure to the thermal applicator to enhance apposition of the thermal applicator to the treatment portion.

The present disclosure relates to a cold and hot thermal treatment device. Hot heat and cold heat are produced by a heat production unit and are periodically and repeatedly transferred to a heat transfer unit that is in contact with a human body such that a temperature is not suddenly changed but is gradually changed. Thus, the device may be used when diagnosing whether vascular reactivity is maintained in corresponding hands and feet, may generate a temperature stimulus, and may repeatedly perform the temperature stimulus, thereby improving the vascular reactivity.
