Speaker device
A speaker device for reproducing sound within a predetermined audio spectrum is provided. The speaker device comprises: a housing including a top, a bottom, and a side surface; at least one speaker disposed within the housing, the at least one speaker including a speaker flange facing towards the bottom; a waveguide including at least a first surface defining at least one sound channel for conducting a given sound produced by the at least one speaker, and the at least one channel includes a first zone, a second zone, and a third zone sequentially defined along a length thereof to provide for sound reproduction from 100 Hz to 20000 Hz.
Directional speaker-implemented showerhead
A showerhead assembly with a plurality of speakers is disclosed. The illustrative showerhead assembly includes a showerhead to exert fluid, a support structure to transport the fluid to the showerhead, and a plurality of speakers to exert sound with a consistent directionality. The showerhead assembly illustratively includes a dome housing having an inner wall and an outer rim, a showerhead to exert fluid, a support structure extending from a center of the housing such that the support structure has a first end attachable to a wall or ceiling and a second end distal from the first end and the support structure transports the fluid to the showerhead, and a plurality of speakers disposed on the support structure such that the speakers are directed toward the inner wall of the housing and the speakers generate and exert sound with a consistent directionality.
Broadband metamaterial reflector
A versatile metamaterial reflector is constructed of at least one pair of first and second reflectors each having a frequency-dependent phase shifting of a reflected waveform but together providing, between them, a constant phase difference. As few as two different types of reflectors (for example, a zero and relative pi radian reflector) are used to construct a variety of metamaterial reflectors.
ACOUSTIC REFLECTOR FOR HEIGHT CHANNEL SPEAKER
A height channel speaker with an integrated acoustic reflector to reflect sound off of a ceiling down to a listener. The acoustic reflector compensates for thin transducers by creating a virtual image of the real sound source outside the speaker enclosure. The focal point of the acoustic reflector is controlled by modifying the curvature of the reflector surface. The transducer is mounted on an inclined plane to radiate sound in a rear-upward inclined direction. The acoustic reflector is mounted on the same inclined plane so that the radiant axis of the transducer is directly incident on the acoustic reflector surface. The sound is projected towards the ceiling in a forward, upward-inclined direction to reflect off the ceiling and down to the listener. The speaker can be acoustically occluded from the listener by a panel to which the speaker is attached.
Reflection minimization for sensor
An electronic device includes a substrate layer having a front surface and a back surface opposite the front surface, a plurality of ultrasonic transducers formed on the front surface of the substrate layer, wherein the plurality of ultrasonic transducers generate backward waves during operation, the backward waves propagating through the substrate layer, and a plurality of substrate structures formed within the back surface of the substrate layer, the plurality of substrate structures configured to modify the backward waves during the operation.

ACOUSTIC LUMINAIRE
A luminaire including an acoustic base,a lens in the acoustic base, and at least one light emitting device above the lens.
ACOUSTIC LUMINAIRE
A luminaire including an acoustic base,a lens in the acoustic base, and at least one light emitting device above the lens.
ACOUSTIC REDIRECTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR URBAN AIR MOBILITY VEHICLES
An acoustic system for an Urban Air Mobility (UAM) vehicle may comprise a first shield configured to be disposed around a rotor of the UAM vehicle, the first shield having an annular shape, the first shield configured to be disposed radially outward from a blade tip of a rotary blade, the first shield configured to redirect sound waves from a substantially radial direction to a second direction, the second direction being orthogonal to the radial direction.
Ultrasonic Transducer and Focused Ultrasound Treatment Device
The present disclosure provides an ultrasonic transducer and a focused ultrasound treatment device. The ultrasonic transducer includes a sound generation unit and a sound emitting surface, the sound emitting surface being a spherical surface having a first notch, a second notch and a third notch, wherein one great circle of a sphere corresponding to the sound emitting surface is a main great circle, the first notch and the second notch are respectively positioned at two intersections of the spherical surface and a diameter perpendicular to the main great circle, and the third notch connects the first notch with the second notch; each cross-section of the sound emitting surface parallel to the main great circle is in a shape of an arc; and the ultrasonic wave generated by the sound generation unit is focused on a center of the sphere corresponding to the sound emitting surface.
