Provided is an acoustic reproduction apparatus, including a first microphone to be used for noise cancellation processing using a feedback scheme, a second microphone including a sound collection surface in a direction different from a direction of a sound collection surface of the first microphone and to be used for noise cancellation processing using the feedback scheme, and an acoustic signal processing unit configured to generate a noise-cancelling signal using a first sound collection signal collected by the first microphone and a second sound collection signal collected by the second microphone.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AMBIENT SOUND AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR THE SAME
An electronic device includes a speaker, a sensor, a communication circuit, a processor, and a memory to store instructions. The instructions, when executed by the processor, cause a wireless audio device to, while outputting a signal for reducing an external sound through the speaker, identify, using the communication circuit, an external electronic device, identify, using the sensor, a conversation responsive to a location of the external electronic device satisfying a specified condition, responsive to identifying the conversation, stop an output of the signal for reducing the external sound for a first period of time, and responsive to identifying a specified keyword included in the conversation, prolong stopping the output of the signal for reducing the external sound for a second period of time.
AUDIO DEVICE CONFIGURED FOR DAISY CHAINING
A method and system for daisy chaining tournament audio controllers, where the method comprises, in a headset coupled to a first audio controller, the first audio controller being in a daisy chain of audio controllers: receiving a chat signal from a second audio controller in the daisy chain of audio controllers, receiving a microphone signal from a microphone in the headset, summing the chat signal with the microphone signal, communicating the summed signal to a third audio controllers in the daisy chain, and communicating the chat signal to the headset. The microphone signal may be removed from the summed chat signal and microphone signal by adding a second microphone signal 180 degrees out of phase with the microphone signal. The chat signal may be summed with the microphone signal at an amplitude set by a user of the headset after the removal of the microphone signal.
APPARATUS FOR MANIPULATION OF EAR DEVICES
Disclosed herein are apparatuses for manipulation of an ear device within the ear canal of a subject. Also disclosed herein are methods of using said apparatuses for the insertion, removal, or other manipulations of the ear device. Also disclosed herein are methods of making the apparatuses, and kits containing the apparatus with instructions for use.
SIGNAL PROCESSING APPARATUS, SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD, SIGNAL PROCESSING PROGRAM, SIGNAL PROCESSING MODEL PRODUCTION METHOD, AND SOUND OUTPUT DEVICE
To promote further improvement in usability. A signal processing apparatus (10) includes an acquisition unit (111) that acquires an acoustic characteristic in a user's ear, isolated from the outside world, an NC filter unit (1122) that generates sound data having a phase opposite to an ambient sound leaking into the user's ear, a correction unit (1123) that corrects the sound data by using a correction filter, an a determination unit (1121) that determines a filter coefficient of the correction filter based on the acoustic characteristic.
APPLICATION OF STRUCTURAL ENERGY STORAGE WITH CARBON FIBER IN PERSONAL WEARABLE AND CARRIABLE DEVICES
An electric power storage device, including a protective cover configured to protect from impact and including an electric carbon fiber component, the electric carbon fiber component incorporating a structural battery, the structural battery including energy storage devices. The energy storage devices are suitable for energy storage and structural support for the electric carbon fiber component. Each of the energy storage devices having an anode core of a continuous carbon fiber, an electrolyte arranged on the continuous carbon fiber core, and a cathode layer arranged to the at least one continuous carbon fiber core on the electrolyte, and an interface terminal electrically connected to the structural battery, the interface terminal for outputting power from the structural battery.
AI-assisted detection and prevention of unwanted noise
A signal representing a sound can be received. A machine learning model can be run to identify that the sound triggers a reaction in a user hearing the sound. A preventive action can be automatically activated to mitigate the reaction. The user's reactions can be monitored. Responsive to determining that the user's reaction has been mitigated or suppressed, the preventive action can be deactivated. The machine learning model can be retrained using at least the signal as new training data.
Method and apparatus for noise cancellation in a wireless mobile device using an external headset
A method, system, and apparatus for noise cancelation is disclosed, which may be used in a wireless unit (WU). The WU may include a processor, a memory, a user interface, internal microphones and internal speakers. A removably connected headset may include microphones and speakers. The WU may receive a first ambient noise from headset microphone(s), which may generate a first signal based on the first ambient noise. The WU may receive a second ambient noise at internal microphone(s), which may generate a second signal based on the second ambient noise. The WU may calculate an estimate of ambient noise based on the first and second signals, calculate a signal for noise cancellation based on the estimate, cancel estimated ambient noise from an audio output signal based on an application of the signal for noise cancellation, and send the audio output signal to speakers of the headset or of the WU.
VOICE ISOLATION DEVICE
A face mask can both actively cancel sounds and passively attenuate sounds spoken by the user to prevent the sounds from reaching non-intended recipients positioned near the user. The mask can not only reduce the user's voice from escaping the mask but can also be used to reduce external sounds from reaching inside the mask. Thus, a user can wear the mask in public and talk on their phone without disturbing others around them. The mask can include at least one microphone and at least one audio speaker disposed inside and/or outside the mask. Sounds received by the microphone can be processed by a microphone and computing electronics to provide an output to the audio speaker that can appropriately attenuate the sound received by the microphone, via acoustic cancelation. The mask can not only be used to cancel sounds but may also be used to amplify sounds when desired.
Devices, Methods, and User Interfaces for Adaptively Providing Audio Outputs
An electronic device includes one or more pose sensors for detecting a pose of a user of the electronic device relative to a first physical environment and is in communication with one or more audio output devices. While a first pose of the user meets first presentation criteria, the electronic device provides audio content at a first simulated spatial location relative to the user. The electronic device detects a change in the pose of the user from the first pose to a second pose. In response to detecting the change in the pose of the user, and in accordance with a determination that the second pose of the user does not meet the first presentation criteria, the electronic device provides audio content at a second simulated spatial location relative to the user that is different from the first simulated spatial location.
