Urban air mobility noise reduction system and method
An urban air mobility (UAM) noise reduction system and method are provided, where the UAM noise reduction system includes a UAM configured to detect and to provide rotation per minute (RPM) information of a propeller and location coordinate information, and a noise canceling device configured to predict a noise canceling sound wave amplitude on the basis of the RPM information of the propeller and the location coordinate information received through the UAM and to output a noise canceling sound wave corresponding to the predicted noise canceling sound wave amplitude to the UAM.
WEARABLE NOISE CANCELLATION DEVICE
A noise cancelation device, and a method, for suppressing noise patterns emitted from a body of a user are disclosed. The noise cancelation device comprises in some embodiments at least one sensor for sensing noise patterns produced by the body of the user and generating noise data indicative thereof, noise cancelling circuitry configured and operable to process the noise data generated by the at least one sensor and generate anti-noise signals therefrom, and at least one acoustic transducer for producing audio outputs from the generated anti-noise signals. The noise cancelation device is configured to be attached to the body of the user, either on or adjacent a body part from which the noise patterns are being emitted.
Downlink tone detection and adaptation of a secondary path response model in an adaptive noise canceling system
An adaptive noise canceling (ANC) circuit adaptively generates an anti-noise signal from a reference microphone signal that is injected into the speaker or other transducer output to cause cancellation of ambient audio sounds. An error microphone proximate the speaker provides an error signal. A secondary path estimating adaptive filter estimates the electro-acoustical path from the noise canceling circuit through the transducer so that source audio can be removed from the error signal. Tones in the source audio, such as remote ringtones, present in downlink audio during initiation of a telephone call, are detected by a tone detector using accumulated tone persistence and non-silence hangover counting, and adaptation of the secondary path estimating adaptive filter is halted to prevent adapting to the tones. Adaptation of the adaptive filters is then sequenced so any disruption of the secondary path adaptive filter response is removed before allowing the anti-noise generating filter to adapt.
ACTIVE SOUND MANAGEMENT IN NOISE CANCELATION SYSTEMS
Noise cancellation systems and methods are provided that receive a reference signal representative of a noise to be reduced and provide a noise cancellation signal based upon the reference signal. Some examples include a feedback signal representative of a residual noise in the environment. At least one of the reference signal, the noise cancellation signal, or the feedback signal is filtered to remove components based upon a rotational rate of a rotating equipment associated with the environment, such as an engine of a vehicle. Accordingly, the noise cancellation system may not interfere with sounds related to the engine.

A system and method for providing a headset system including a microphone including a microphone transducer configured to receive vocal sounds from a user of the headset system and to generate a voice audio signal representing the vocal sounds; a first earcup including a first housing, wherein the first housing further includes a voice canceling circuit, an inner speaker, and a first outer speaker; the voice canceling circuit configured to receive the voice audio signal and configured to generate a first voice canceling signal to cancel the voice of the user; and the first outer speaker including a first speaker transducer configured to generate and output sounds representing the first voice cancelling signal to cancel the vocal sounds of the user.
Sound reproducing apparatus, sound reproducing method, and sound reproducing system
A sound reproducing apparatus includes a speaker, a microphone, and at least one processor. The at least one processor performs a process that includes hear-through processing and noise cancellation processing. The process also includes a storage task and a reading task. When detecting an occurrence of the trigger, the reading task reads control information of the event information of which execution is instructed by the trigger. The reading task also executes the hear-through processing and the noise cancellation processing in the signal processing task.
VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A vehicle that selectively provides important sound to an occupant includes: a microphone configured to receive a noise sound; a speaker; a storage configured to store a plurality of sound waveforms and a warning sound source corresponding to each sound waveform of the plurality of sound waveforms; and a controller configured to generate a noise canceling signal based on the noise sound, control the speaker to output a noise canceling sound corresponding to the noise canceling signal, compare a waveform of the noise sound with the plurality of sound waveforms when a sound pressure level of the noise sound is greater than a threshold value, and when the waveform of the noise sound matches any sound waveform of the plurality of sound waveforms, and control the speaker to play a warning sound source corresponding to the sound waveform matching the noise sound.
Narrowband cancellation
Noise cancellation systems and methods are provided that generate an anti-noise signal configured to destructively interfere with noise in a cancellation zone. The systems and methods receive a signal representative of the noise in the cancellation zone. The signal is analyzed to identify a frequency to be reduced in the cancellation zone, and the signal is down converted to place the identified frequency at baseband. A baseband anti-noise signal is generated based upon the down converted signal. The baseband anti-noise signal is up converted to the identified frequency to produce an anti-noise signal having components at the identified frequency, and the anti-noise signal is provided to be transduced into an acoustic signal.
