Sound Reproducing Apparatus, Sound Reproducing Method, and Sound Reproducing System
A sound reproducing apparatus includes a speaker, a microphone, and at least one processor. The at least one processor performs a process that includes hear-through processing and noise cancellation processing. The process also includes a storage task and a reading task. When detecting an occurrence of the trigger, the reading task reads control information of the event information of which execution is instructed by the trigger. The reading task also executes the hear-through processing and the noise cancellation processing in the signal processing task.
HEADPHONE ACOUSTIC NOISE CANCELLATION AND SPEAKER PROTECTION
An audio system has an ambient sound enhancement (ASE) function, in which an against-the-ear audio device having a speaker converts a digitally processed version of an input audio signal into amplified sound. The amplification may be in accordance with a stored hearing profile of the user. The audio system also has an acoustic noise cancellation (ANC) function that may be combined in various ways with the ASE function, and that may be responsive to voice activity detection. Other aspects are also described and claimed.
Vehicle and method of controlling the same
A vehicle and a method of controlling the vehicle for adjusting a sound pressure of a virtual engine sound based on external noise are provided. The vehicle may include: a speaker to output a virtual engine sound; a microphone to receive external sound generated outside of the vehicle; and a controller configured to extract noise by separating the virtual engine sound from the external sound, determine each peak sound pressure of a plurality of peak sound pressures as a peak point, identify a plurality of equalizer (EQ) filters having a predetermined bandwidth, generate an amplification filter by combining the plurality of EQ filters, apply the amplification filter to the virtual engine sound and control the speaker to output the virtual engine sound.
Method and system for audio sharing
The present invention provide a method and system of audio sharing aimed to revolutionize the way people listen and share music and to give multiple uses to a wireless headphone referred to as HEDphone. A communication protocol referred to as HEDtech protocol is used in a HED system to allow users to share music amongst a plurality of HEDphones while using a single audio source. A wireless connection is established between the HEDphone and a mobile device including an audio source while simultaneously having the capability of allowing other HEDphone users to join wirelessly and listen to the same audio source. A feature of Super Human Hearing (SHH) goes beyond conventional ANR (ambient noise reduction) with additional features that allow the user to control their aural environment by being able to directionally increase or decrease selective frequencies.
Active noise cancelation with controllable levels
A system including an automatic noise canceling (ANC) headphone and a processor. The ANC headphone has a microphone configured to generate a microphone signal and at least two non-zero ANC gain levels. The processor is configured to receive the microphone signal, determine a characteristic of the microphone signal, and identify a revised ANC level from the ANC gain levels based on a comparison of the characteristic to at least one threshold. Methods are also disclosed.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A HEARING DEVICE, AND HEARING DEVICE
A method operates a hearing device which performs active noise suppression for suppressing noise signals having one or more frequency components. An audiogram is provided which specifies a hearing threshold of a user of the hearing device as a function of frequency, wherein by using the audiogram it is determined which frequency components of the noise are audible to the user and which are not audible. The noise suppression is operated selectively by suppressing audible frequency components of the noise and by not suppressing inaudible frequency components of the noise. A corresponding hearing device is operated according to the method.

Method and system for audio sharing
A headphone system, comprises a headset including two ear cups configured to output audio and including a headband coupled between the two ear cups, the headset including an outer casing having an outer casing shape, the outer casing shape covering the two ear cups and the headband, the outer casing shape including an outer casing periphery; and a headphone cover including a headphone cover shape, the headphone cover shape including a headphone cover periphery, the headphone cover including a clipping mechanism configured to interface with the outer casing at the outer casing periphery to enable the headphone cover to be removably attached to the headset, the headphone cover shape being similar to the outer casing shape, the headphone cover periphery being similar to the outer casing periphery.
