Method and system for noise suppression
Aspects of the invention are directed towards a system and method for noise suppression. One or more embodiments of the invention describe the method comprising steps of receiving noise by a microphone and deriving a noise signal from the noise, the noise produced by a fan of a fire/smoke detection unit while drawing air and detecting the speed of the fan of the fire/smoke detection unit. The method further describes steps of amplifying the noise signal by the amplifier received from the microphone and producing an anti-phase noise signal by shifting a phase of the amplified noise signal received from the amplifier wherein the anti-phase noise signal is dependent on the detected speed of the fan. The method further describes steps of outputting the anti-phase noise signal through a speaker to suppress the noise produced by the fan of the fire/smoke detection unit while drawing the air.

WIRELESS HEADSET WITH HEARABLE FUNCTIONS
A system for adjusting volume and ambient sounds in an earphone device with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) functionality, implemented using a microphone and a signal processor, wherein a signal mixer is configured to, in response to detecting a rotation of a first dial connected to the earphone device, adjust the proportions between a group of signals in a mixed signal generated for the speaker of the earphone device, and thereby enabling precise and intuitive control of both playback volume and ambient sound processing.
Noise Control System
A hybrid ANC system that can allow a feedback microphone to receive the same external noise as a feedforward microphone. A processor can generate an anti-noise signal based on what both microphones received to cancel a broader range of frequencies of the external noise.
PROJECTOR, COOLING APPARATUS, AND CONTROL METHOD
A projector includes an exterior enclosure having an intake port and a discharge port, a heat source, a fan that causes a cooling gas to flow to the heat source, a loudspeaker that is disposed between one of the two openings, and the fan in the channel of the cooling gas and outputs a sound wave according to a drive signal inputted to the loudspeaker, a characteristic data storage section that stores frequency characteristic data on the frequency characteristics of discrete frequency noise, broadband noise, and in-apparatus environmental noise, and a control section that generates the drive signal, and the control section includes a characteristic acquisition section that acquires the frequency characteristic data corresponding to the rotational speed of the fan per unit time, a waveform generation section that generates the waveform of an interference sound, and a signal output section that outputs the drive signal.
Active road noise control
An active road noise control system method for a vehicle includes picking up noise at a multiplicity of positions in or on the vehicle and generating a multiplicity of noise sense signals representative of road noise originating from a road noise source in or at the vehicle, and processing, according to a beamforming scheme, the multiplicity of noise sense signals to generate a reference signal and to provide a sensitivity characteristic for picking up the noise that comprises one main lobe directed to the road noise source. The system and method further includes iteratively and adaptively processing the reference signal to provide a noise reducing signal, and generating at one or more positions in an interior of the vehicle, from the noise reducing signal, noise reducing sound at a listening position in the interior of the vehicle.
Refrigerator with compressor noise reduction
A refrigerator includes a noise reduction device and a machine room that accommodates a condenser and a compressor. The noise reduction device includes a sensing unit configured to measure noise generated from the machine room of the refrigerator and a generating unit configured to output a sound signal having a frequency canceling or reducing the noise. The machine room is defined by a case that has a communication portion configured to communicate a fluid between an inside of the case and an outside of the case to thereby exchange heat between the fluid and the condenser and between the fluid and the compressor.
Loudspeaker unit
A loudspeaker unit for producing sound at bass frequencies an array of two or more diaphragms. The first radiating surface and the second radiating surface are located on opposite faces of the diaphragm, and one or more of the diaphragms are included in a first subset of the diaphragms and one or more of the diaphragms are included in a second subset of the diaphragms; a plurality of drive units.
SYSTEM AND METHOD UTILIZING DISCRETE MICROPHONES AND VIRTUAL MICROPHONES TO SIMULTANEOUSLY PROVIDE IN-ROOM AMPLIFICATION AND REMOTE COMMUNICATION DURING A COLLABORATION SESSION
An integrated audio microphone system simultaneously provides in-room amplification and remote communication during a collaboration session with one or more local participants in a shared space and one or more remote participants. The integrated audio microphone system includes at least one microphone array and speaker system located in the shared space, at least one microphone system for amplification located in the shared space, an audio processor connected to the microphone system and the microphone array and speaker system, and a computer connected to the audio processor. The audio processor is configured to generate a plurality of virtual microphone bubbles and to amplify received audio signals from the microphone system for in-room audio amplification. The amplified audio signals are output to speakers of the microphone array and speaker system. Audio signals from the microphone system and the arrays of microphones are output to the computer to send the audio signals to one or more remote participants.
ANC system
An ANC system includes an AD converter which performs AD conversion on an external noise signal, an ANC signal generator which generates an ANC signal for canceling a noise component arriving at the ears of a user based on an output signal of the AD converter, and a level detector which detects a level of the output signal and causes the ANC signal generator to power down in response to the level. The level detector measures a time for which the level is equal to or less than a predetermined first threshold value, causes the ANC signal generator or a portion of blocks of the AD converter to power down after the measured time exceeds a predetermined value, and causes the ANC signal generator or a portion of blocks of the AD converter to return from the power down when the level exceeds a predetermined second threshold value.
