A wireless earpiece includes a wireless earpiece housing, a processor disposed within the wireless earpiece housing, at least one microphone operatively connected to the processor, and at least one speaker operatively connected to the processor. The processor is configured to receive audio from the at least one microphone, perform processing of the audio to provide processed audio, and output the processed audio to the at least one speaker. The processing of the audio involves identifying body generated sounds generated by a body of a user of the wireless earpiece and removing the body generated sounds.
AUDIO PROCESSING DEVICE
The disclosure provides an audio processing device comprising a first filter and a second filter. The first filter is configured to generate a first filtered signal based on an error signal, the error signal representative of audible sound at a target space. The second filter is configured to generate a second filtered signal based on the error signal. An anti-noise signal is generated based on the first filtered signal and the second filtered signal, and the anti-noise signal is included in the error signal. The first filter is connected to the second filter in parallel.
Bandlimiting anti-noise in personal audio devices having adaptive noise cancellation (ANC)
A personal audio device, such as a wireless telephone, includes noise canceling that adaptively generates an anti-noise signal from a reference microphone signal and injects the anti-noise signal into the speaker or other transducer output to cause cancellation of ambient audio sounds. An error microphone is provided proximate the speaker to measure the output of the transducer in order to control the adaptation of the anti-noise signal and to estimate an electro-acoustical path from the noise canceling circuit through the transducer. The anti-noise signal is adaptively generated to minimize the ambient audio sounds at the error microphone. A processing circuit that performs the adaptive noise canceling (ANC) function also filters one or both of the reference and/or error microphone signals, to bias the adaptation of the adaptive filter in one or more frequency regions to alter a degree of the minimization of the ambient audio sounds at the error microphone.
Synchronization of instability mitigation in audio devices
A method and system directed to controlling audio devices with active noise reduction. The system detects an instability condition in a first headphone; generates one or more control signals to adjust one or more ANR parameters of the first headphone using a first controller, wherein the one or more ANR parameters are adjusted to change the first headphone from a first ANR state to a second ANR state to mitigate the instability condition; and synchronizes the one or more ANR parameters of the first headphone with second headphone. In an example, the system returns the first headphone to the first ANR state after detecting that the first headphone was removed from an ear of a user at the first time and detecting that the first headphone was engaged with the ear at the second time.
Method for suppressing interference noise in an acoustic system and acoustic system
A method for suppressing interference noise in an acoustic system with a microphone that generates an input signal and a loudspeaker that generates an acoustic signal which partially feeds back to the microphone. A first intermediate signal is formed along a primary signal path as a function of the input signal, and an output signal is formed via a frequency distortion. The output signal is coupled into a signal feedback path. A second intermediate signal is formed in the signal feedback path via a decorrelation and used as an input value for an adaptive filter. The adaptive filter generates a compensation signal which compensates the input signal. A third intermediate signal is formed from the input signal and/or compensated input signal, which is used as an input value for the adaptive filter. The output signal is fed to the loudspeaker for reproduction.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SELECTING SENSOR LOCATIONS ON A VEHICLE FOR ACTIVE ROAD NOISE CONTROL
The present disclosure provides a method for determining an arrangement of reference sensors for active road noise control (ARNC) in a vehicle with an automatic calibration system. The method includes mounting a plurality of vibrational sensors on a plurality of structure elements of the vehicle to generate a plurality of vibrational input signals and mounting at least one microphone inside a cabin of the vehicle to capture at least one acoustic input signal. The method further includes determining an arrangement of reference sensors from the plurality of vibrational sensors by determining a subset of vibrational sensors which sense the main mechanical inputs of road noise contributing to the at least one acoustic input signal.
SIGNAL PROCESSING DEVICE, SIGNAL PROCESSING PROGRAM, AND SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD
A signal processing device according to an embodiment includes: two or more microphones each provided with a sound collection unit directed to an outside of a housing including a driver unit, a control unit (102b) that performs a hearing control of sound output from the driver unit to a listener based on sound signals collected and output by the two or more microphones, and an adjustment unit (200) that adjusts a degree of the hearing control between a degree for wind and a degree for non-wind based on a correlation between the sound signals.
Parallel noise cancellation filters
A noise cancellation filter structure for a noise cancellation enabled audio device, in particular headphone, comprises a noise input for receiving a noise signal and a filter output for providing a filter output signal. A first noise filter produces a first filter signal by filtering the noise signal and a second noise filter produces a second filter signal by filtering the noise signal. The second noise filter has a frequency response with a non-minimum-phase, in particular maximum-phase. A combiner is configured to provide the filter output signal based on a linear combination of the first filter signal and the second filter signal.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NOISE CANCELING
A method of canceling road noise includes: receiving a first signal from an acceleration sensor disposed at a vehicle and a second signal from a microphone disposed at the vehicle; monitoring, based on the first and second signals, whether an abnormal event has occurred; determining, based on a result from monitoring whether the abnormal event has occurred, a plurality of parameter values for performing adaptive filtering; and performing, based on the determined parameter values, adaptive filtering to generating an output signal for noise canceling.
Systems and methods for use of adaptive secondary path estimate to control equalization in an audio device
In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, an adjustable equalization filter may have a response that generates an equalized source audio signal from a source audio signal to account for effects of changes in an electro-acoustical path of the source audio signal to a transducer. An equalizer coefficient control block may adapt the response of the adjustable equalization filter in response to changes in a response of a secondary path estimate filter for modeling the electro-acoustical path of a source audio signal through the transducer, wherein a response of the secondary path estimate filter is adapted in conformity with an error microphone signal indicative of the acoustic output of the transducer.
