WOUND TREATMENT SYSTEM
A disposable dressing forms a compartment around and above a wound site and a volatile antimicrobial compound is allowed to sublimate/evaporate into the compartment. A heating element is included in the dressing, with heat stimulating wound healing and simultaneously accelerating sublimation/evaporation of the antimicrobial compound.
A MASK FOR TREATING DRY EYES
Disclosed is an eye mask adapted to cover the eyes and the eyelids of a user. The mask includes a main body including an electrical heater and a battery configured to supply the electrical heater and a removable member removably linked to the main body. The removable member includes a wall forming a reservoir provided with retaining orifices adapted to retain a liquid, in particular water, under the effect of the surface tension between the liquid and walls of the orifices. Also disclosed is a method of using such a mask.
PERSONAL INHALING DEVICE
A personal inhaling apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes an ultrasonic personal inhaler with ultra-fine mist transducer that delivers both cool and warm mist using a heater, a face mask, a fluid supply means, and a power source including batteries and/or corded power supply. The apparatus may include a receptacle for a scented pad placed in contact with the heater. Indicators functioning in a pre-determined manner provide indication on if the device is delivering a cool mist, a warm mist, is switched-OFF, a level of charge of a power source, and a level of the fluid in the fluid supply means.
STEAM HEATING TOOL AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A steam heating tool includes a cover member that has a cover portion covering a mouth and a nose of a user, and a steam generator that is held on a surface of the cover portion on a side of the user, in which a space interposed between the cover portion and a face of the user is formed at a time of use, and the steam heating tool satisfies following formulae (1) to (3): 300VG1,500 (1); 40MV150 (2); and 5VG/MV25 (3), where VG represents a cumulative steam generation amount [mg] released into the space for 10 minutes from a start of steam generation of the steam generator, and MV represents a volume [mL] of the space.
MEDICINAL HERBAL COMPOSITION FOR EYE APPLICATION
An apparatus that includes a frame is for securely holding the medication pad with a moisturized medication compartment held by a holder. The frame holds the medication pad to apply the medication to the eyes wherein the frame further includes a controllable heating element for heating the medication pad. The medication pad further comprises a moisturized compartment containing moisturized extracts of herbal medication for generating and applying a medication steam to the eyes when the heating element is controlled to apply heat to the medication pad.
CRYOGENIC CHAMBER FOR A HORSE OR A CAMEL
The cryogenic chamber has a treatment cabin (12) cooled by a cooling factor in the form of liquid air or liquid nitrogen distributed through the nozzle system (17). The treatment cabin (12), which can be open at the top or equipped with a roof, is available in a stationary or mobile version, namely it can be placed on a trailer and is transitional, namely it has a rear door (2) and a front door (1) and its side walls have outlet openings (8, 11) and a grid (7) intended for introducing the cooling factor from the cooling chamber (16), whereas in the treatment cabin (12) at the front and at the back there are elements (18) blocking the animal taking the treatment. The shape of the treatment cabin (12) is based on a rectangle. The chamber is equipped with roller blinds (4, 5) and its operation is controlled by a panel with a monitor as well as a power supply and control system (3).
Infant Care Apparatus and System
Infant care apparatus and system comprising a tray molded in the shape of an infant's body; and fastening devices to fasten the tray around the caregiver's chest, to provide safe kangaroo care to infants. Some embodiments may include sensors to monitor the infant's physiological parameters, and/or a negative pressure ventilator and/or an automated urine and feces collection and disposal system, and/or an external cardiac compression system, and/or electroencephalograph cap, and/or a heat pump to maintain infant body temperature; and/or light emitting diodes to provide phototherapy; and/or an aspirator for suctioning secretions from nose and/or mouth of infant; and/or warm mist generating apparatus to humidify air around the infant. It may include a networking module for transmission of sensor data to and receiving of operating commands from remote servers accessible by medical professionals. The invention thus also provides safe and easy-to-operate intensive care for infants, along with kangaroo care.
Device for cold therapy
A device for cold therapy using cooling mist. Ice baths and cryogenic chamber are previously known solutions for cold therapy, but both suffer from several disadvantages, such as space requirements. The present device for cold therapy includes elements, such as a nozzle, for producing mist from liquid provided for the device, which mist stream is sprayed to a surface area of a treated object in order to cool the treated object, wherein the Sauter mean diameter of the mist is at most 150 m.
System, retainer and method of preventing and treating nosocomial infections including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections
According to an exemplary embodiment, a retainer for therapeutic treatment may be provided. The retainer for therapeutic treatment may include: a retainer that may retain a antimicrobial solution against tissue; a number of heating elements connected to the retainer for therapeutic treatment; a number of power supply cables connected to the number of heating elements; a number of antimicrobial solution delivery elements connected to the retainer for therapeutic treatment that may deliver an antimicrobial solution; a number of pieces of tubing having a first end connected to a antimicrobial solution reservoir and a second end connected to a number of antimicrobial solution delivery elements; a number of fiber optic cables having a first end connected to a light source; and a number of light terminations rigidly connected to the retainer for therapeutic treatment and connected to the second end of the fiber optic cable.
