Noise control system
A hybrid ANC system that can allow a feedback microphone to receive the same external noise as a feedforward microphone. A processor can generate an anti-noise signal based on what both microphones received to cancel a broader range of frequencies of the external noise.
NOISE REDUCTION DEVICE AND METHOD
A noise reduction device and method comprises: at least one sound pickup microphone module for picking up sound from a medium to generate a noise pickup signal; at least one speaker driver for transmitting, to the medium, a vibration corresponding to a noise cancellation signal generated on the basis of the noise pickup signal; and a controller for generating the noise cancellation signal on the basis of the noise pickup signal.
Audio device with adaptive auto-gain
An audio device for receiving radio communication. The audio device is configured to receive radio communication as a received radio signal. The audio device includes a hear-through element configured to provide a hear-through signal to a user in response to a received ambient sound signal, and an adaptive auto-gain element configured to perform an auto-gain function of the received radio signal according to an adaptive gain value resulting in a modified radio signal, and to set the adaptive target level for the auto-gain function in response to the hear-through signal.
SYSTEM FOR NOISE ABATEMENT
A system for abating noise emanating from a kitchen electric appliance includes a base of a predetermined size, comprising a first instance of a noise reflecting material, so that said base is disposed underneath, supporting, and contiguous to said kitchen electric appliance, and a sleeve of a predetermined size, including a second instance of a noise reflecting material, one or more layers of at least one noise absorbing material, one closed end, and one open end, so that said one open end slides over said kitchen electric appliance and is contiguous to said base. Said noise is effectively abated by reverberating between said first instance of said noise reflecting material and said second instance of said noise reflecting material and is attenuated by said one or more layers of said at least one noise absorbing material.
Active thermo-regulated neonatal transportable incubator
The present invention provides an elongated active thermo-regulated neonatal transportable incubator (ANTI), having a main longitudinal axis with a proximal end and an opposite distal end comprising adjacent to at least one of the ends a temperature regulating vent (TRV). The TRV is configured to stream air from one end towards the opposite end substantially along the axis, and the ANTI is configured, by means of size and shape, to accommodate the neonate in parallel to the axis. Further the ANTI can be configured by means of size shape and material to at least partially inserted into an MRD having an open bore in its longitudinal axis, further accommodating the neonate parallel to the MRD bore. An incubator with a temperature regulating vent located outside the incubator and its base.
DEVICE FOR REDUCING TYRE NOISE
A device (1) for reducing a rolling noise of a vehicle (3) having at least one tire (2), the tire (2) rolling on a roadway on a tire contact patch (4), wherein the device (1) comprises at least one sound absorption element (5) attached to the vehicle (3) in front of, behind and/or laterally of the tire contact patch (4) in the direction of travel (F) of the vehicle (3) and having at least one resonance frequency and a curved first absorber membrane (6) facing the tire contact patch (4), wherein essentially the entire first absorber membrane (6) is oriented normally to a direction of sound propagation (S) emanating from the tire contact patch (4), and the sound absorption element (5) is located at a distance from the tire contact patch (4) which corresponds to a multiple of half a wavelength (λ) assigned to the resonance frequency.
Low frequency acoustic absorption and soft boundary effect with frequency-discretized active panels
An active sound barrier has at least one passive sound absorber at or near a boundary location. A microphone provides an output to a frequency division module, in which a plural of frequencies are filtered to provide outputs corresponding to frequency segments of the receiving transducer output at respective ones of the frequencies. An active driving circuit drives plural speakers or output transducers at respective ones of the frequencies, with at least a subset of the speakers or output transducers at or close to the barrier. The speakers or output transducers cooperate with the passive sound absorber to reduce noise across a wide frequency band as well as to effect an electrically switchable soft boundary.
ENERGY ABSORBING EARCUP APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
An energy absorbing earcup apparatus for use in an aviation helmet and a method of making same is disclosed. The apparatus can include an earcup body adapted for positioning on a human ear and containing a speaker adapted to emit sound, and a noise attenuating cushioning member surrounding the earcup body. The apparatus can provide active noise reduction. A vent a vent can be formed in the earcup body to provide ventilation for the speaker, and an opening can be formed in the cushioning member that is in communication with the vent.
Reducing far-field noise produced by well operations
A system for reducing far-field noise produced by well operations includes a passive sound barrier shielding an area, in which the well operations are performed, in an open-air environment. The system further includes a sound sensor to receive near-field noise from the well operations. The system further includes an analysis module, coupled to the sound sensor, to generate an anti-noise signal. The system further includes active anti-noise generators, coupled to the analysis module, to generate anti-noise, based on the anti-noise signal, that destructively interferes with noise from the well operations outside of the passive sound barrier at a predetermined distance from the passive sound barrier. The analysis module generates the anti-noise signal based on the near-field noise, the predetermined distance, and adjustable positions and orientations of the active anti-noise generators.
SPEAKER SYSTEM AND NOISE CONTROLLING DEVICE
A speaker system includes a cushion body with which a person comes into contact when sitting therein, and a speaker, a front of which is covered by the cushion body. The cushion body includes: a three-dimensional mesh-like elastic part that is formed by a three-dimensionally entangled fiber and bears a load of the person; and a cover member that covers surroundings of the three-dimensional mesh-like elastic part. The cover member includes a first cover member that covers the part of the surroundings of the three-dimensional mesh-like elastic part located at the front of the speaker, and a second cover member that is a remainder of the cover member excluding the first cover member. The first cover member has a higher acoustic transmissivity than the second cover member.
