Air flow system and method for air circulation therapy
10828190 · 2020-11-10 ·

The air flow system includes a hose member having an exterior flow tube and an interior flow tube, a distal connector, and a proximal connector. The air flow in the interior flow tube is separate from the exterior flow tube. Air flows from the exterior flow tube, through a flow chamber, around a treatment site of inflammation and back to the interior flow tube. The system for air circulation therapy also includes a body attachment device, an air pump supply, an air recovery unit, a temperature sensor, an air flow sensor, and a controller. The method includes inserting a body part with a treatment site within the flow chamberand sealing the flow chamber to the air flow system. Temperature regulated air flow is supplied to the treatment site in the flow chamber and collected from the flow chamber.

A pediatric magnetic resonance (MRI) system and sub-system are provided. The pediatric MRI system includes a magnet-gradient assembly, an RF shield-body coil assembly and a pediatric MRI sub-system. The pediatric MRI sub-system includes an infant warmer or isolette having a patient section for accommodating a patient. The infant warmer is positionable relative to the magnet-gradient-body coil assembly of the pediatric MRI system. The pediatric MRI sub-system also includes a warming mattress arranged within the patient section of the infant warmer. The infant warming mattress includes an interior space filled at least partially with a host medium and a conduction heating system at least partially arranged in the interior space to conduct heat to the interior space of the infant warming mattress. The pediatric MRI system also includes at least one local radio frequency (RF) coil that is positionable within the patient section of the infant warmer.

Rapid infuser with advantageous flow path for blood and fluid warming, and associated components, systems, and methods

The present disclosure provides improved technologies relating to medical fluid heating systems and apparatus. In certain embodiments, the present disclosure relates to systems and apparatus for heating a fluid and, more particularly, for quickly and controllably heating a flow of blood or a blood product, for example, for infusion into a patient or for hyperthermia treatment. In particular, in a first aspect, the present disclosure is directed to a system and apparatus featuring single flow path fluid heating (single path flow). Moreover, in a second aspect, the present disclosure is directed to a system, apparatus, and related method for efficiently utilizing the thermal energy of an infusate stored in a reservoir (slack time heating). Furthermore, in a third aspect, the present disclosure is directed to a fluid heating system and apparatus featuring a vacuum release valve designed to prevent the undesired orientation of deformed inflow tubing (vacuum release valve).

Isolette environment controller and method

Thermic Infusion Tubing with Improved Rebound from Folds, Kinks and Crushes

A crush and kink resilient tubing system for an infusion system. The tubing system has an inner sheath with an inner wall forming a passageway for an infusion fluid, and an outer sheath surrounding the inner sheath, wherein the inner sheath material which has a structural rigidity greater than a structural rigidity of the material of the outer sheath, such that a neutral strain line is formed closer to the tube's inner wall than to its outer wall. This combination of materials characteristics and relative thicknesses provides autonomous recovery and rebounding of the tube following removal of a shape deforming force.

Hand warmer

An eye massaging device includes a main body, a water bag, a control unit, a cover, and a fixing ring. The temperature of the circulating water tank may be sensed by a thermal sensor and then feedback the temperature signal to a microprocessor. The microprocessor may control to drive a heating member to increase temperature and stop increasing temperature so as to effectively control the operation temperature and prevent from transient blindness resulting from being not able to effectively control the temperature.

HEAT CONTROL DEVICE FOR AN INCUBATOR FOR INFANTS, INCUBATOR AND METHOD FOR THE HEAT CONTROL OF AN INCUBATOR
20190247259 · 2019-08-15 ·

An infant incubator heat control device includes a temperature-detecting device providing chamber interior and incubator heater temperature measured values. A first mode of operation has an interior temperature set value, a temperature of the heater set value is calculated as a function of the interior temperature set value and of the chamber interior temperature measured value. A controlled variable is calculated for the heater as a function of the temperature of the heater set value and of the heater measured value. A second mode of operation calculates a temperature of the heater set value independently of the chamber interior temperature measured value. A controlled variable is calculated for the heater as a function of the set value for the temperature of the heater and of the heater temperature measured value.
