TRAINING APPARATUS, METHOD OF THE SAME AND PROGRAM
A training device changes feedback formant frequencies which are formant frequencies of a picked-up speech signal, applies a lowpass filter, converts the picked-up speech signal, adds high-pass noise to the converted speech signal, feeds back the converted speech signal with the high-pass noise added to a subject, calculates a compensatory response vector by using pickup formant frequencies which are formant frequencies of a speech signal acquired by picking up an utterance made by the subject while feeding back a speech signal that has been converted with change of the feedback formant frequencies to the subject, and pickup formant frequencies which are formant frequencies of a speech signal acquired by picking up an utterance made by the subject while feeding back a speech signal that has been converted without change of the feedback formant frequencies to the subject, and determines an evaluation based on the compensatory response vector and a correct compensatory response vector.
DETECTION OF THE SYNCHRONIZATION BETWEEN THE ACTUATION OF A METERED-DOSE INHALER AND A PATIENT'S INSPIRATION
A pressurized metered-dose inhaler requires good synchronization between the activation of the inhaler and the inspiration by the patient. Processing is carried out on the video frames filming the patient to qualify the actuation of the pressurized metered-dose inhaler according to two criteria: regarding the pressing by the patient's actuating fingers on a trigger member of the inhaler and regarding the actual compression of the inhaler. Processing of an audio signal recording the patient at the same time is also carried out to detect an inhalation by the patient. A temporal correlation of the probabilities obtained as results then makes it possible to qualify the synchronization between the actuation of the inhaler by the patient and the latter's inspiration, and thereby indicate a proper use or improper use of the inhaler.

Intelligent insight system and method for facilitating participant involvement
A system and method for improving outcomes in various person-to-person goal-oriented interactions is disclosed. Specifically, the method and system enable intelligent insights and recommendations to be presented to a facilitator of the interaction via a virtual assistant user interface. When the facilitator seeks to produce a specific goal with respect to the participant, the system can be configured to automatically generate, based on a series of inputs about the participant and previous interactions, intelligent recommendations that have a high likelihood of successfully promoting the target goal in the current scenario.

Localization of sound sources in a given acoustic environment
Processing acoustic signals to detect sound sources in a sound scene. The method includes: obtaining a plurality of signals representative of the sound scene, captured by a plurality of microphones of predefined positions; based on the signals captured by the microphones and on the positions of the microphones, applying a quantization of directional measurements of sound intensity and establishing a corresponding acoustic activity map in a sound source localization space, the space being of dimension N; constructing at least one vector basis of dimension less than N; projecting the acoustic activity map onto at least one axis of the vector basis; and searching for at least one local peak of acoustic activity in the map projection, an identified local peak corresponding to the presence of a sound source in the scene.

Evaluation apparatus, training apparatus, methods and programs for the same
An evaluation device applies a lowpass filter with a cutoff frequency being a first predetermined value or a second predetermined value greater than the first predetermined value with or without change of feedback formant frequencies which are formant frequencies of a picked-up speech signal, converts the picked-up speech signal, feeds back the converted speech signal to a subject, and includes an evaluation unit that calculates a compensatory response vector by using pickup formant frequencies which are formant frequencies of a speech signal acquired by picking up an utterance made by the subject while feeding back a speech signal that has been converted with change of the feedback formant frequencies to the subject, and pickup formant frequencies which are formant frequencies of a speech signal acquired by picking up an utterance made by the subject while feeding back a speech signal that has been converted without change of the feedback formant frequencies to the subject, and determines an evaluation based on a compensatory response vector for each cutoff frequency.

Digital audio workstation with audio processing recommendations
Presentation of a recommendation to a user for individual processing of audio tracks in a digital audio workstation. Training audio tracks are provided to a human sound mixer and responsive to the training audio tracks individually processed training audio tracks are received from the human sound mixer. The training audio tracks and the individually processed training audio tracks are input to a machine to train the machine. Audio processing operations are output from the trained machine and stored in a record of a database.
