Outer bag for disposable body warmer packaging and disposable body warmer
An outer bag for disposable body warmer packaging and a disposable body warmer are provided that are excellent in a gas barrier property that inhibits permeation of oxygen gas, water vapor, and the like, which can allow swelling due to hydrogen gas generated during a storage period to be prevented. Provided is an outer bag for disposable body warmer packaging having an accommodating portion accommodating a disposable body warmer accommodated in an air-permeable inner bag and generating heat through contact with air, the outer bag comprising a low air-permeability portion having an oxygen permeability of 1.5 to 20 cc/m.sup.2.Math.day.Math.atm measured at 20? C. and 90% RH and having a water vapor permeability of 0.05 to 10 g/m.sup.2.Math.day measured at 40? C. and 90% RH; and an air-impermeable portion having an oxygen permeability of 1.3 cc/m.sup.2.Math.day.Math.atm or lower measured at 20? C. and 90% RH and a water vapor permeability of 2.0 g/m.sup.2.Math.day or lower measured at 40? C. and 90% RH, wherein a ratio of an area of the low air-permeability portion to a total internal area of the accommodating portion is 15 to 75%.
Therapeutic thermal compress with phase-change material
A therapeutic device such as an eye mask or compress for delivery of moist heat therapy to a body part such as an eye of a human or animal subject. Example devices are configured to be worn with one or more eye coverage portions positioned over the subject's eye(s). The eye coverage portions have a front side configured for placement against the treated body part, and a back side opposite the front side. The eye coverage portions include recesses or retracted sections configured to be positioned over the wearer's cornea area. The shell of the eye coverage portions may further incorporate antimicrobial properties. Heat transfer mediums or fill materials can include hydrophilic zeolite, silica gel, and/or one or more phase change materials so as to provide controlled performance characteristics.
HEAT GENERATOR
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heat generator that comprises an adhesive layer containing a volatile component and in which the volatile component is maintained in a stable state during storage, the volatile component is prevented from adhering to a heat-generating section, and it is possible to achieve an excellent warming effect during use. This heat generator comprises: a heat-generating section, an accommodation body that accommodates the heat-generating section and comprises an attachment surface to which an attachment body is attached, an adhesive layer provided to the attachment surface side of the accommodation body, and a release sheet provided to the attachment surface side of the adhesive layer. As a result of including a volatile component in the adhesive layer and providing a metal foil membrane to the release sheet, it is possible to maintain the volatile component in a stable state within the adhesive layer during storage. It is thereby possible to prevent the adhesion of the volatile component to the heat-generating section during storage and to achieve an excellent warming effect during use.
COOLING PACK
Described are various embodiments of a cooling pack. In one such embodiment a cooling pack is provided for cooling a crotch region of a human while seated on a seating surface, the cooling pack comprising a tapered container for holding a cooling material therein, and defined by tapering upper and lower surfaces drawing into a tapered edge to be positioned between the crotch region and the seating surface in use, thereby providing cooling for the region.
Breastfeeding Therapeutic Hot/Cold Pack
The present invention is an improved therapeutic breast pack that helps enhance the breastfeeding experience. The invention provides the user with moist heat long enough to provide therapy to both breasts individually, before nursing and/or pumping. The present invention is filled with dried lavender buds in addition to the whole flaxseed. The flaxseed provides the moist heat (when warmed in microwave), and the dried lavender buds provides relaxation aromatherapy to the mother and baby. Relaxation can help the mother release milk easier, and can help the baby soothe and latch easier. The product is designed so the middle is open to protect the mother's nipple while providing therapy to her breast. Finally, the present invention has a microwavable, removable and machine washable cover. This allows for easy cleaning and usage. The cover does not need to be removed when warming the product in the microwave.
PORTABLE THERAPEUTIC SYSTEM USING HOT OR COLD TEMPERATURE
Disclosed is a system which employs a cooling or heating pad which is preferably a thin, flexible pad for placement at an intended area of the body. The pad includes a layer of highly conductive material which can be cooled or heated using a portable source of heat or cold material delivered to the conductive material by a delivery conduit. Valves can be included to regulate flow of the cooling or heating material from the source to the pad. The system can also include a dual-chambered canister for containing two different media for heating, cooling or for alternating heating and cooling the pad.
Therapeutic eye mask system
A therapeutic mask system for treatment of the eyes, including a mask portion for attachment to the head of a patient and an eye coverage pod that is detachably coupled to the mask portion. The mask portion can include an eye coverage portion having a receiver in which the eye coverage pod is releasably secured. Alternatively, the therapeutic mask system includes a mask strap and the eye coverage pod is directly secured to the mask strap. The eye coverage pod includes material for delivering thermal, moisture and/or medication therapy and treatment to the eye. The therapeutic mask system can also include a heat-transmissive treatment pad positioned between the pod and the eye of the user.
PROTECTIVE BAND HAVING CHIPS
A protective band having chips includes a band body having a plurality of compartments. The compartments are provided with chip sets, respectively. Each chip set has two fixing films and a plurality of chips wrapped between the fixing films. The fixing films each have a fixed end fixed to a corresponding one of the compartments and a free end accommodated in the corresponding compartment. The protective band can be attached to the user's skin to radiate far infrared rays. Through the fixed ends of the fixing films fixed to the corresponding compartment, the fixing films are maintained at a predetermined position to enhance the wearing comfort and maintain the radiation effect of the chip sets.
HEATING COMPRESS
An object of the present invention is to provide a heat-generating device with which a warm sensation is persistently perceived, and which can effectively exert a heating effect. In a heat-generating device that is used by being attached to skin, (1) a packaging material constituting a skin attachment surface of a housing is formed of a laminated sheet in which at least a moisture absorption layer that absorbs moisture and a moisture barrier layer that blocks penetration of moisture are laminated in this order from the adhesive layer, (2) an adhesive layer is partially provided on a surface of the moisture absorption layer, and (3) a warming agent that allows an enhanced warm sensation to be perceived in the presence of moisture is contained in at least one of the adhesive layer and the moisture absorption layer. This heat-generating device thereby has improved persistence of a perceived warm sensation, and can exert a markedly high heating effect.
EYE MASK-TYPE HYDROGEN SUPPLY DEVICE
An eye mask-type hydrogen supply device that is freely portable when carried by a user and with which it is possible to supply hydrogen to the areas around both eyes and the eyeballs while warming the eyelids, wherein the eye mask-type hydrogen supply device can be used continuously by replacing a hydrogen gas supply pack.
