HEATING TOOL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HEATING TOOL
The present invention relates to a warming tool (1) in which a heat generating element (3) is held between a topsheet (5) that faces a heating target and a backsheet (6) that is located on a side away from the heating target, and a method for manufacturing the same. The heat generating element (3) has a first sheet (3f) arranged opposing the topsheet (5), a second sheet (3g) arranged opposing the backsheet (6), and a heat generating portion (3a) sandwiched between the first sheet (3f) and the second sheet (3g). In the warming tool (1), a perfume (8) and an adhesive (7) are arranged between the second sheet (3g) and the backsheet (6), and a region in which the adhesive (7) is arranged and a region in which the perfume (8) is not arranged overlap each other in a plan view. In the manufacturing method, the perfume is added to a surface of the second sheet (3g) that is planned to oppose the backsheet (6), or to a surface of the backsheet (6) that is planned to oppose the heat generating element (3), and the heat generating element (3) is held such that the backsheet (6) and the second sheet (3g) oppose each other.
Device and Method of Treating Menopausal Hot Flashes
A device and method for treatment of hot flashes in perimenopausal and menopausal women. The device includes a cooling agent distributed over at least a portion of an area of the device, at least one liner positioned against and attached to at least one side of the cooling agent over at least the portion of the area of the device, and an adhesive. The adhesive is arranged on at least one side of the device so as to permit the device to be secured with respect to the anatomy of a user.
HEATING PATCH FOR SKIN CARE
A heating patch for skin care including a substrate unit; an application electrode unit formed on the substrate unit in a predetermined pattern, and which includes a first electrode and a second electrode to which power supplied from the outside is applied; a heating unit including first and second heating electrodes, which respectively extend a predetermined length from the first and second electrodes so as to face each other at a certain length without being electrically connected, and a plurality of conductive heating materials formed to have predetermined areas in an overlapping part in which the first and second heating electrodes face each other and generate heat while allowing the first and second heating electrodes to communicate with each other during application of power; and a pair of cover members arranged on both surfaces of the substrate unit to prevent external exposure of the applied electrode unit and heating unit.
FLEXIBLE COLD/HOT COMPRESS STRIP
A flexible cold/hot compress strip includes a flexible strip body, and a thermoelectric cooler detachably installed to a side of the strip body. The other side of the strip body has a thermally conductive layer and a flexible contact layer. With the flexible design of the strip body, the thermally conductive layer and the contact layer, the whole cold/hot compress strip can be attached closely to human body for cold or hot compress, and the thermoelectric cooler has a detachable design for easy carry and use.
Indicators for Confirming Fluid Connections in Systems, Pads, and Methods for Targeted Temperature Management
Disclosed are indicators for confirming fluid connections in systems, pads, and methods thereof for targeted temperature management. For example, a pad can include a multilayered pad body, a pad inlet connector, a pad outlet connector, and an indicator for visual indication of charging a conduit layer of the pad body with a supply fluid and confirmation of accurate fluid connections. The conduit layer includes one or more conduits for conveying a temperature-controlled fluid as the supply fluid from a hydraulic system of a control module as well as convey a return fluid back to the hydraulic system. A thermally conductive adhesive layer over the conduit layer is for placement on a portion of a patient's body. The pad inlet connector includes a pad inlet for charging the conduit layer with the supply fluid. The pad outlet connector includes a pad outlet for discharging the return fluid from the conduit layer.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR A HEATING PATCH
A heating patch assembly adapted for use on a human. The preferred heating patch assembly includes a heating patch assembly lining and a heating patch assembly thermal conductor. The preferred heating patch assembly thermal conductor is disposed within the heating patch assembly lining. The preferred heating patch assembly is adapted to induce vasodilation and increase cardiac output in the human. A method for increasing cardiac output including applying the heating patch assembly to a human chest.
Fluid Delivery Lines of Systems, Pads, and Methods for Targeted Temperature Management
Disclosed are fluid delivery lines (“FDLs”) of systems, pads, and methods for targeted temperature management. A system can include a control module, a primary FDL, a secondary FDL, and one or more pads for placement on one or more portions of a patient's body, respectively. The primary FDL can be configured to convey a temperature-controlled fluid as a supply fluid from a hydraulic system of the control module and convey a return fluid back to the hydraulic system. Each pad of the one-or-more pads can include a multilayered pad body including a conduit layer configured to convey the supply fluid therethrough. The secondary FDL can be configured to convey the supply fluid from the primary FDL and convey the return fluid back to the primary FDL. The secondary FDL can include a pair of piercing tips configured to pierce the primary tubing for fluidly connecting the primary and secondary FDLs.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING CORE BODY TEMPERATURE
A method for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may involve delivering heat to a first location on a limb of the patient, delivering heat to a second location on the limb, apart from the first location, and applying intermittent compression to a third location on the limb, located between the first location and the second location. A device for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may include a sleeve for positioning over at least part of one of the patient's limbs, first and second heat delivery members coupled with the sleeve, and an intermittent compression member coupled with the sleeve between the first and second heat delivery members.
Combination treatment systems
Controllers for dry eye treatment apparatus and methods are described herein which generally comprise a patch or strip affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The treatment strip or strips include one or more strips configured to adhere to an underlying region of skin in proximity to one or both eyes of a subject such that the one or more strips allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more patches. A controller is in communication with the one or more strips and is programmable to monitor a temperature of the one or more strips to provide a treatment therapy above a threshold temperature. Additionally forceps for mechanically expressing the Meibomian glands may be included with the strips and/or controller.
