A wiring structure of a head suspension including a flexure that supports a head and is attached to a load beam applying load onto the head, comprises write wiring and read wiring formed on the flexure and connected to the head, each having wires of opposite polarities, and further including a stacked interleaved part includes segments electrically connected to the respective wires of the write wiring, the segments stacked on and facing the wires through an electrical insulating layer so that the facing wire and segment have opposite polarities.

A disk apparatus includes a disk, a head, a circuit board, and an abnormality detection circuit. The head includes a plurality of loads, including at least a first load and a second load, associated with writing or reading of data to or from the disk, and a plurality of head terminals corresponding to and connected to the plurality of loads, respectively. The circuit board includes board terminals corresponding to and connected to the plurality of head terminals, respectively, and a preamplifier that applies a voltage to the loads via the plurality of board terminals during writing or reading of the data to or from the disk. The abnormality detection circuit detects a short-circuit between a first board terminal, which is the board terminal connected to the head terminal of the first load, and a second board terminal, which is the board terminal connected to the head terminal of the second load.

A flexure of a suspension for a disk drive includes a metal base and a wiring portion provided along the metal base and including a base insulation layer, a conductor layer overlaid on the base insulation layer, and a cover insulation layer overlaid on the conductor layer. The flexure includes a first area on which an electronic component is mounted and a second area aligned alongside the first area, and the first area includes a thin-walled portion which overlaps the electronic component and having a thickness less than a thickness of the second area.

According to one embodiment, a magnetic head includes first to fourth shields, first to fourth terminals, and first magnetic member. The third shield includes a first partial region and a second partial region. The fourth shield includes a third partial region and a fourth partial region. The first magnetic member is provided between a portion of the first shield and a portion of the second shield in a first direction from the first shield to the second shield. The first magnetic member is provided between the first partial region and the third partial region in a second direction crossing the first direction. The portion of the first shield is located between the second partial region and the fourth partial region in the second direction.
Disk apparatus
A disk apparatus includes a base including a bottom wall and a sidewall disposed along a peripheral portion of the bottom wall, a cover including a ceiling plate and a side plate disposed along a periphery of the ceiling plate, the ceiling plate being fixed to the sidewall and the side plate facing an outer surface of the sidewall, and a rotatable recording medium disposed between the cover and the bottom wall. The sidewall of the base includes a first portion adjacent to the recording medium and a protruding portion that protrudes from the first portion outward and away from the recording medium, and at least a portion of a sidewall of the protruding portion faces an opening formed in the side plate.

A flexure includes a metal base, a circuit member, and an actuator. The circuit member includes a base insulating layer, a conductor layer, and a cover insulating layer. The conductor layer includes a second pad, and a reference hole, which is an example of a portion to be protected, in a tongue portion. A second end portion of the actuator is fixed to the second pad via an adhesive. The circuit member includes a wall portion. The wall portion is formed between the second pad and the reference hole. A height of the wall portion is greater than a height of the second pad.
PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A printed circuit board includes a circuit substrate and a plurality of buffering circuits. The circuit substrate includes a substrate layer, and first and second circuit layers formed on either side of the substrate layer. The first circuit layer comprises a plurality of first conductive circuits. The second circuit layer comprises a plurality of second conductive circuits. A line width of each of the plurality of first conductive circuits is greater than a line width of each of the plurality of second conductive circuits. The plurality of buffering circuits electrically connect the first circuit layer to the second circuit layer and a line width of each of the plurality of buffering circuits is greater than the line width of each of the plurality of second conductive circuits.
DISK APPARATUS AND HEAD APPARATUS
A disk apparatus includes a disk, a head, a circuit board, and an abnormality detection circuit. The head includes a plurality of loads, including at least a first load and a second load, associated with writing or reading of data to or from the disk, and a plurality of head terminals corresponding to and connected to the plurality of loads, respectively. The circuit board includes board terminals corresponding to and connected to the plurality of head terminals, respectively, and a preamplifier that applies a voltage to the loads via the plurality of board terminals during writing or reading of the data to or from the disk. The abnormality detection circuit detects a short-circuit between a first board terminal, which is the board terminal connected to the head terminal of the first load, and a second board terminal, which is the board terminal connected to the head terminal of the second load.
COMPACT PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY
A compact printed circuit board assembly includes a printed circuit board (PCB) and a preamplifier subassembly. The preamplifier subassembly includes a preamplifier and an insulating endcap abutting one another and arranged in a plane parallel to the PCB. An electrical via formed within the first insulating endcap provides an electrical connection between a decoupling capacitor and the PCB to reduce noise detectable in current flowing between the preamplifier and a current source.

A method for producing a wired circuit board includes a first step of preparing a metal supporting layer; a second step of forming an insulating layer having a first opening and terminal forming portions on the metal supporting layer; a third step of forming a conductor layer having terminal portions and an electrically conductive portion on the insulating layer; a fourth step of, by partially removing the metal supporting layer, forming a metal supporting frame portion, a metal supporting connecting portion, and a reinforcement metal supporting portion; and a fifth step of forming a metal plating layer at surfaces of the terminal portions by electrolytic plating via the metal supporting connecting portion.
