Mask for treating dry eyes
Disclosed is an eye mask adapted to cover the eyes and the eyelids of a user. The mask includes a main body including an electrical heater and a battery configured to supply the electrical heater and a removable member removably linked to the main body. The removable member includes a wall forming a reservoir provided with retaining orifices adapted to retain a liquid, in particular water, under the effect of the surface tension between the liquid and walls of the orifices. Also disclosed is a method of using such a mask.
Heat exchanging pack
A heat exchanging pack comprises a substance receiving portion, a first strap receiving portion disposed adjacent a first side of the substance receiving portion, a second strap receiving portion disposed adjacent a second side of the substance receiving portion, and a strap configured for releasably coupling the heat exchanging pack to a portion of a body. The strap includes a first portion extending through the first strap receiving portion, a second portion extending between the first strap receiving portion and the second strap receiving portion, a third portion extending through the second strap receiving portion, and a fourth portion extending out from the first strap receiving portion. The second portion and the fourth portion of the strap are configured to extend at least partially around a portion of a user in need of treatment to releasably couple the heat exchanging pack to the portion of the user.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED AND VIBRATING THERAPEUTIC GARMENT
A temperature controllable wrap assembly that includes a wrap portion configured to be worn around a user's body part, and at least a first temperature control module positioned on the wrap portion. The first temperature control module includes a housing, a controllable temperature element, a spreader member and at least a first finger spreader pivotably attached to the spreader member. The lower surface of the spreader member is positioned to contact the user's body part. The controllable temperature element is configured to transfer thermal energy to an upper surface of the spreader member, and the spreader member is configured to conduct thermal energy to the first finger spreader.
DEFORMABLE THERMAL PACK
A thermal pack including: a flexible pouch body having a plurality of pouch segments each defining a cavity; one or more straps integrally formed with a first end of the pouch body, where the pouch body has one or more openings for accepting a second end of the one or more straps for securing the pouch body to a body part. The thermal pack can also include a bendable and deformable support frame having at least two twisted wires on at least two longer sides of the pouch body and/or metallic cubes disposed in each of the cavities of the pouch segments, each of the metallic cubes having a metallic shell defining a cavity with a freezable substance.
Cooling system and method for a prosthetic socket
A prosthetic socket cooling system and method includes a thermally conductive heat spreader including a curved shaped portion configured to maximize contact with a residual limb of a user. A heat extraction subsystem is coupled through a wall of the prosthetic socket and to the thermally conductive heat spreader and is configured to maintain a desired temperature inside the prosthetic socket.
Apparatus for the moisture, medicated, and thermal treatment of physical conditions
An assembly for the thermal treatment and moisture treatment of physical conditions, the assembly including, a first thermal pack having a body, the body having a first face and a second face, the first face having a first protrusion. The assembly further includes a sleeve operatively arranged to receive the first thermal pack, the sleeve having a first surface. The assembly also includes a medicament pad arranged to be removably secured to the first surface of the sleeve.
Cerebral protection system
A cerebral protection system generally includes an array of cold packs, an insulating cover, and optionally a set of trays. The cold pack contains two reactive materials separated by a rupturable membrane. When the first reactive material and the second reactive material are mixed, an endothermic reaction occurs. The system can be used to induce hypothermia in selected regions of the brain when used. The system can be used to treat conditions including concussion, traumatic brain injury (TBI), heatstroke, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, anoxic brain injury, ischemic stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), or hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy.
Fungal infection treatment
A fungal infection treatment includes a container comprised of a thermally conductive material. In this way the container can be heated by the boiled water when the boiled water is poured from the cup into the container. A cover is positionable on the container to close the container to inhibit the boiled water from being spilled from the container. A drape is provided that has an opening extending therethrough. In this way the drape can be positioned on a respective one of the user's appendages having the opening exposing a nail on the respective appendage. The container is positionable in the opening when the drape is positioned on the appendage. In this way the container can transfer heat from the boiled water to the nail on the respective appendage for treating a fungal infection of the nail bed.
Foot Cooler
A therapeutic sleeve and techniques for using it are provided. A therapeutic sleeve may house a conduit carrying a constant stream of a chilled or heated working fluid throughout the sleeve. A heating element may evenly distribute heat throughout the sleeve. The sleeve may provide a precise temperature-controlled pocket that significantly improves treatment of pain or discomfort in the user's feet, head, or other body parts. A software application may enable a user to set or adjust a temperature, set timers, record sleep patterns, and view analytics or other data.
HEATER ASSEMBLIES FOR TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT SLEEVES
A temperature-management device comprises a wearable sleeve including a foot portion configured to cover at least a portion of a sole of a foot of a patient, a calf portion configured to cover at least a portion of a calf of the patient, the calf portion having one or more compression bladders associated therewith, and a popliteal fossa portion configured to cover at least a portion of a popliteal fossa of the patient. The temperature-management device further comprises a heater assembly configured to be secured to the wearable sleeve, the heater assembly including a foot heating pad, a popliteal fossa heating pad, and a physical connector extending between the foot heating pad and the popliteal fossa heating pad.
