Hemostasis wound healing device for dynamic elastic injury site
A topical cooling compressive hemostasis wound healing device and methods thereof for affecting a percutaneous access site wound or an acute surgical wound. The device delivers and transports cooling to affect and control vasculature and musculoskeletal motions surrounding the injury site during the blood coagulation, hemostasis, and wound healing phases. The device has a viscoelastic and thermally conductive surface to deliver and transport an adjustable compressive pressure to resist outward blood flow, thus improving patient safety and clinical outcomes. The device is anatomically conforming and treats not only the specific injury site, but also its surrounding anatomical structures together as means to prevent unpredictable delayed hemostasis breach. The device provides comfort to the patient by allowing mobility upon wound healing, thus reducing back pain and strain resulting from being in a constrained position for a prolonged period of time which is known to cause additional medical events. The device reduces pain, inflammation, swelling, and scar formation on the injury site of a patient and promotes hemostasis, sustains hemostasis, and improves overall wound healing quality.
THERAPEUTIC EYE MASK SYSTEM
A therapeutic mask for treatment of the eyes, including an eye coverage portion for application to the eye, a receiver in the eye coverage portion positioned to align with the eye, and at least one pod for detachably securing within the receiver. The pod includes material for delivering thermal, moisture and/or medication therapy and treatment to the eye.
MODULAR APPARATUS FOR THERAPY OF AN ANIMATE BODY
A modular therapy system for treatment of at least a portion of an animate body is disclosed. The apparatus includes a first modular member and a second modular member. The first modular member comprises a heat transfer device adapted to transfer heat between the device and the portion of the animate body. The second modular member includes a pouch adapted to receive the first modular member. The second modular member can be wrapped around the animate body portion with the first modular member positioned therein. In various embodiments, the apparatus includes a third modular member having a pouch adapted to receive the first modular member. The third modular member is configured for wrapping to a different sized animate body or different portion of the body than the second modular member. The third modular member may have a different shape or size than the second modular member. In various embodiments, the second and third modular members are sleeves selected from among a plurality of differently configured sleeves. Methods of making and using the system are also disclosed.
Heat exchanging pack
A heat exchanging pack comprises a substance receiving portion, a first strap receiving portion disposed adjacent a first side of the substance receiving portion, a second strap receiving portion disposed adjacent a second side of the substance receiving portion, and a strap configured for releasably coupling the heat exchanging pack to a portion of a body. The strap includes a first portion extending through the first strap receiving portion, a second portion extending between the first strap receiving portion and the second strap receiving portion, a third portion extending through the second strap receiving portion, and a fourth portion extending out from the first strap receiving portion. The second portion and the fourth portion of the strap are configured to extend at least partially around a portion of a user in need of treatment to releasably couple the heat exchanging pack to the portion of the user.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED AND VIBRATING THERAPEUTIC GARMENT
A temperature controllable wrap assembly that includes a wrap portion configured to be worn around a user's body part, and at least a first temperature control module positioned on the wrap portion. The first temperature control module includes a housing, a controllable temperature element, a spreader member and at least a first finger spreader pivotably attached to the spreader member. The lower surface of the spreader member is positioned to contact the user's body part. The controllable temperature element is configured to transfer thermal energy to an upper surface of the spreader member, and the spreader member is configured to conduct thermal energy to the first finger spreader.
Articulatable, Distributed Weight Heating Pads
A distributed-weight heating pad includes a weighted layer in between two covers that provides additional pressure on a user. The weighted layer has a plurality of pockets with weighted elements therein and formed with channels between pockets that allow or enhance articulation of the distributed-weight heating pad. A heating element layer is also disposed between the covers along with a controller and battery that cause the heating element layer to provide both conductive heating and radiation heating. Moreover, the controller may cause the heat from the heating element layer to have a ramping segment to quickly apply heat until a desired temperature is reached. Other devices and methods are presented.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HEAT OR COLD THERAPY AND COMPRESSION THERAPY
A medical device providing a combination of thermal and DVT therapies to a patient. The components, arrangement of components, function of the device as a whole, and methods of use of the device are all devised to maximize therapeutic effectiveness. Effectiveness in this context is measured by the ability to provide a controlled application of the recommended thermal treatment including time, temperature, compression, and number of cycles with specified cycle duration.
Foot Cooler
A therapeutic sleeve and techniques for using it are provided. A therapeutic sleeve may house a conduit carrying a constant stream of a chilled or heated working fluid throughout the sleeve. A heating element may evenly distribute heat throughout the sleeve. The sleeve may provide a precise temperature-controlled pocket that significantly improves treatment of pain or discomfort in the user's feet, head, or other body parts. A software application may enable a user to set or adjust a temperature, set timers, record sleep patterns, and view analytics or other data.
Heat Transfer Vest with Hook and Loop Securement
A heat transfer system that may be used to absorb heat from a human user. A wearable vest is provided. The innermost surface of the vest is covered in hook-compatible material. One or more thermal transfer packs are configured to be attached to the vest. One or more hook panels on each thermal transfer pack is used to stick the thermal transfer pack directly to the innermost surface of the vest.
Inflatable Therapy Band with Pockets
An inflatable therapy band with pocket comprises a circular band configured to removably be secured about a head. The band comprises four pockets for an ice pack and four inflatable air bladders. The pocket for the ice packets and air bladders alternate about the length of the band. An air pump is provided on the band which is in pneumatic communication with the air bladders.
