The apparatus and method is also contemplated for use with headaches, migraines, heat and/or sun stroke, as well as persons that have suffered a stroke.
ELECTROSTIMULATION APPARATUS
An electrostimulation apparatus may comprise a control unit, a power supply and a carrier separated or combined. The control unit is configured to provide the electrical current to an electrode layer settled on or inside the carrier, and the power supply is configured to heat a heating piece settled on or inside the carrier. The carrier has a plurality of connecting portions which are configured to electrically connect to the control unit, the power supply, the heating piece and the electrode layer. Furthermore, the electrode layer is electrically connected to the control unit through the connecting portions, and also the heating piece is electrically connected to the power supply through the connecting portions. Also, the heating piece and the electrode layer are attached on the carrier, and the carrier can be used to serve both training and treatment purposes for a user.
Thermal Eye Pod Assembly
A thermal eye pod assembly for use in efficiently heating and/or cooling a plurality of thermal eye patch members, as desired. A portable thermal eye pod assembly for use in efficiently treating a user's recurring ophthalmic conditions, accelerating a user's healing process, and providing a user with a relatively faster means of pain relief.
WEARABLE LIQUID SILICONE RUBBER PRODUCT
A cured liquid silicone rubber (“LSR”) body having an outer surface, an inner surface opposing the outer surface, a first end, a second end opposing the first end, a non-biased body length separating the first and second ends of the cured silicone body, a pre-formed pleated portion disposed circumferentially along the body length and operably configured to enable selective and elastically biased adjustment of the non-biased body length, non-pleated portions of the LSR body forming a smooth surface of the outer surface of the LSR body and flanking the pleated portion, forming a sleeve shape with at least one enclosed opening and a sleeve channel for receiving a user's limb and defined by the inner surface of the LSR body, and defining a plurality of perforations thereon, disposed on the non-pleated portions of the LSR body that span through the LSR body.
Therapeutic brain cooling system and spinal cord cooling system
This disclosure relates to a brain cooling and spinal cord cooling system, device or mechanism for use in military helmets, and in an adapted format in non-military helmets. The system is comprised of an inflatable pad, or a set of interconnected pads, attached to the interior surface of the helmet, together with a series of valves that allow cooling gases to be delivered from a high pressure canister. The use of different cooling gases permits the achievement and maintenance of cooling of the brain for 24 to 96 hours at a mild (36° C.) or moderate (33° C.-35° C.) brain hypothermia, which is 1.5° C.-4.5° C. below the core temperature.
EXTERNAL CHEST COMPRESSION AND DEFIBRILLATION SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS OF OPERATION
Resuscitation devices for performing external chest compression (ECC) and defibrillation on a person and methods using the devices are disclosed. The disclosed devices can include chest compression members and a communication module that can communicate with a remote command center. The disclosed devices can also include an optional defibrillation module that may be integrated. The devices can be coupled to a backboard and can include physiological sensors, electrodes, wheels, controllers, human interface devices, cooling modules, ventilators, cameras, and voice output devices. Methods can include defibrillating, pacing, ventilating, cooling, and performing ECC in an integrated, coordinated, and/or synchronous manner using the full capabilities of the device. Some devices include controllers executing methods for automatically performing the coordinated activities utilizing the device capabilities.
HOLDING ELEMENT FOR AN ACTIVE ARTICLE OF CLOTHING
A holding element is intended to be affixed to an active article of clothing at two spaced apart locations. It is provided with first electrical terminals for connection to an activation unit, which is to be secured to the article of clothing by the holding element, second electrical terminals for connection to a functional component of the active article of clothing and electrically conductive paths between the first and second terminals, the second electrical terminals being placed where the holding element is intended to be affixed to the article of clothing. The holding element is arranged to hold the activation unit between the holding element and the article of clothing between the two spaced apart locations and the holding element is flexible so that it shapes itself around the activation unit when the activation unit is introduced between the holding element and the article of clothing.
COLD THERAPY GARMENT
Described herein are cold therapy devices and methods for making same and, more particularly, to a garment comprising cold therapy components that may be placed adjacent a wearer's body at various locations while remaining fixed in place during activities, such as walking or movement, without requiring the wearer to hold the cold components in place or remain sedentary.
