A groin area warming device comprises a sleeve having a first end and a second end, a first confined area between the first end and the second end, and a second confined area at the second end of the sleeve. The first confined area comprises a heat pad and the second confined area comprises a power source. The second confined area folds over a portion of the first confined area on fastening the device to the apparel of the user. The power source is operatively coupled to the head pad to provide power to the head pad. A control switch is operatively coupled to the head pad and the power source to control operation of the device. The control switch is further configured to control the generation of heat at the heat pad or application of heat to at least a portion of the groin area of the user.
Fluid warming apparatus
The invention provides fluid warming apparatus comprising: a fan; a heater, the fan and the heater being configured to generate a heated fluid flow having a principle flow direction and an inhomogeneous temperature distribution in a distribution direction perpendicular to the said principle flow direction; and a plurality of temperature sensors offset from each other in the said distribution direction, wherein at least two of the temperature sensors are configured to measure temperatures of respective portions of the heated fluid flow having different temperatures.
Temperature-Regulation Apparatus
The invention provides a temperature-regulation apparatus with a segmented metal-containing layer. The metal-containing layer has an electrically insulating coating and a plurality of mutually electrically insulated planar metal segments to increase insulation by reducing thermal emissivity whilst minimizing the hazards of an electrically conductive layer. The temperature-regulation apparatus may comprise a blanket which may be used to actively supply temperature regulated air for regulating the temperature of a subject, in which case it includes at least one port, or it may be used to passively maintain the temperature of a subject, or it may comprise a temperature-regulation garment.
A TEMPERATURE REGULATING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a temperature regulation system for regulating the temperature of a portion of a body, in particular of a user's body.
The system comprises at least one temperature sensor 1004a, 1004b, 1004c adapted to generate a temperature measurement that relates to a temperature of a given portion of a body, at least one temperature adjustment element 1006a, 1006b, 1006c adapted to provide heat and/or cold to a given portion of the body, arranged on or in the flexible support, a memory unit 1016, 1024 adapted to store at least one threshold temperature related value, a controlling unit 1022, 1024, 1032, 1034 in communication with the temperature sensor, with the memory unit 1016, 1024 and with the temperature adjustment element.
The controlling unit is configured to receive the instant temperature of a given portion of the body from the temperature sensor, perform a comparison between at least one instant temperature related value and a triggering temperature related value, activate the temperature adjustment element to provide heat or cold to a given portion of the body depending on the result of said comparison.
The memory unit is further adapted to store at least one user profile information related to a user profile parameter, and the controlling unit is further configured to determine the triggering temperature related value based on said threshold temperature related value, said user profile information and at least one user activity information related to a user instant activity parameter.
Heat exchanger cap
A heat exchanger cap, and method of manufacture of a heat exchanger cap configured to conform to a human head the cap comprising a first element for covering one side of the head; a second element for covering the other side of the head; and an intermediate joining element joined to, and which spaces apart, the first element and second element. Each of the elements define a single passageway for the passage of fluid through the cap. Each of the elements are provided with a flow interface in the region where the elements are joined. The flow interface defines an inlet for the passage of fluid into the passageway of one of the elements, and an outlet for the passage of fluid from the passageway out of the same element.
Human body enhanced training system
A human body enhanced training system including a smart garment, a control module, a plurality of electrodes and at least one sensor. The smart garment is suitable for being worn by a person. When the smart garment is worn by the person, the smart garment covers at least a portion of the person's body. The control module is mounted with respect to the smart garment. The plurality of electrodes is operably connected to the control module. The plurality of electrodes is capable of stimulating the person's muscles. The at least one sensor is operably connected to the control module. The at least one sensor is capable of collecting physiological data.
Temperature control system
A temperature control system comprising a first peripheral fluid circuit for the passage of a first heat exchanger fluid. The first peripheral fluid circuit comprises a first fluid connection for fluidly connecting a first peripheral heat exchanger in series with a first peripheral-evaporator heat exchanger. There is also provided a first peripheral pump for pumping the first heat exchanger fluid around the first peripheral fluid circuit. There is also provided a first evaporator circuit for the passage of an evaporator heat exchanger fluid through the first peripheral-evaporator heat exchanger. The first evaporator circuit comprises a first evaporator pump for pumping the evaporator heat exchanger fluid around the first evaporator circuit. The first evaporator circuit is fluidly isolated from the first peripheral fluid circuit.
