HEAT GENERATOR
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heat generator that contains a volatile component and in which the volatile component is stably maintained during storage, the volatile component is prevented from adhering to a heat-generating section, and it is possible to achieve an excellent warming effect during use. This heat generator comprises a heat-generating section (1), an accommodation body (2) for accommodating the heat-generating section (1), an adhesive layer (3) provided to an attachment surface side of the accommodation body (2), and a release sheet (4) provided to the attachment surface side of the adhesive layer (3). As a result of including a volatile component in the adhesive layer (3) and respectively providing gas barrier layers (211), (41) to a first packaging material (21) constituting the attachment surface side of the accommodation body (2) and to the release sheet (4), it is possible to stably maintain the volatile component within the adhesive layer (3) during storage. It is thereby possible to prevent the volatile component from adhering to the heat-generating section (1) during storage and to achieve an excellent warming effect during use.
THERMAL RETENTION BLANKETS
Exemplary blankets can comprise a flexible fluid-impermeable outer shell having two outer layers sealed around their perimeters, a flexible radiant barrier layer positioned inside the outer shell and being reflective of radiant energy, and a flexible thermal insulation layer positioned inside the outer shell adjacent the radiant barrier layer and comprising a material having low thermal conductivity, such that the blanket is capable of retaining patient body heat by creating a barrier to conductive, convective, and radiant patient body heat loss. Some disclosed blankets include an air cell layer or material capable of entrapping air, inside the outer shell, such as an exemplary open cell foam layer. Some disclosed blankets are MRI-compatible.
On-Pad Fluid Line Connectors for Arctic Gel Pads
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for providing targeted temperature management (TTM) therapy to a patient. For example, TTM systems can include rotatable connector systems for coupling a fluid deliver line to a thermal contact pad. Embodiments of the connector system can include connector pairs that comprise one lumen or multiple lumens. The TTM system includes embodiments where a second thermal pad is coupled to a first thermal pad.
Targeted Temperature Management Systems, Pads, and Methods Thereof
Disclosed herein are systems, pads, and methods thereof for targeted temperature management. A system, for example, can include a control module and a pad. The pad can include a multilayered pad body and one or more comfort-enhancing features integrated into the pad for mitigating or eliminating skin irritation along at least edges of the pad. The multilayered pad body can include a conduit layer, an impermeable film over the conduit layer, and an adherable layer over the impermeable film. The conduit layer can include one or more conduits configured to convey a fluid through the conduit layer. The impermeable film can be configured to retain the fluid in the conduit layer when the fluid is conveyed through the conduit layer. The adherable layer can be configured to adhere to a body portion of a patient. Methods of the systems and pads can include methods of use.
Sleep pod
Introduced are methods and systems for a sleep pod. An occupant of a sleep pod can have a personalized sleeping experience based on an analysis of biological signals, environmental characteristics, occupant history, and other factors.
Cooling pad
The invention provides a cooling pad 110 for alleviation of pain or discomfort, especially in the perineum as a result of childbirth. The pad 110 has at least one chamber 116 containing a fluid (such as saline) for cooling. There is at least one aperture 126 for allowing passage of body fluid. The aperture 126 is located inboard of the chamber 116. Aperture 126 is formed in a web 124. Cooling pad 110 may be used alone or as part of an assembly, sandwiched between cover layer 130 and peel-off backing 132, and is intended to be placed in a freezer prior to use.
THERAPEUTIC SLEEVE
A therapeutic sleeve includes a compression sleeve having an inner sheet and an outer sheet made of flexible fluid impervious material sealingly fixed together to form at least one air pocket therebetween. An inlet valve is fluidly connected to the at least one air pocket to fill the air pocket with air via a pump. The present invention further includes a liner including a sheet having an outer surface and an inner surface. At least one pocket is coupled to the outer surface. A first connector couples the inner surface of the liner to the inner sheet of the compression sleeve. A second connector is configured to removably couple the compression sleeve to itself when wrapped around a limb of an animal.
Prewarming gown
A device for warming a human body. The device is a gown (100, 1500) that has a thorax portion (110, 1502) and a leg portion (112, 1504). One embodiment prevents redistribution hypothermia with a distributor (206) attached to the inside of the leg portion (112). The sleeves (108), leg portion (112), and posterior of the gown (100) are heat reflective. The anterior of the thorax portion (110) of the gown is non-reflective. The distributor (206) inflates when heated air is supplied and exhausts air into the gown (100). Temperature is maintained at a desired level for the extremities, while preventing the thorax area from being elevated to an uncomfortable level. Another embodiment is a perioperative warming device. The device is a gown (1500) that has a thorax portion (1502) and a leg portion (1504). Each portion has an independent air chamber and inlet. The two portions are releasably connected. The sleeves (1508), leg portion (1504), and anterior of the gown (1500) are heat reflective.
BOO BOO PAK
These therapeutic soft, pliable hot/cold rice packs, in different sizes and shapes, have adjustable elastic strips for the aid in comforting animals recovering from dental surgery and many other injured body parts. They can be frozen, cooled or heated in a microwave. The inner rice bag is hand washable, while the outer fleece covering, having hook and loop closures, can be machine washed and air dried. One or more elastic strips are pulled between silicone/rubber adjuster buttons (which slide independently of each other) and sewn into the product according to size to measure a perfect fit around the injured area.
Hook and loop material could also be sewn onto the bottom elastic strips and bottom of the outer covering for a break-away option.
