A temperature controlled cosmetic treatment facial mask with area-specific treatments of the present invention includes a substantially planar mask body which is formed with cut-outs for a person's eyes, nose, and mouth. The mask may include a number of large and small area treatment zones in combination with asymmetrical treatment zones suitable for treatment of specific and localized skin conditions. The treatments zones are coated with skin treatments, such as compounds, lotions, gels, and the like as are known in the facial treatment, cosmetics, spa and medical industry. The mask may include a self-heating or cooling substrate to provide temperature control to the face mask and each mask may include heating areas, cooling areas, or both. A system is also provided that includes an imaging device that feeds its output to a central computer system having an image analyzer, CPU, memory and Look Up Table, and face map for determining specific treatment requirements for the particular patient. An output from the central computer system is provided to a treatment deposition device which deposits various treatments onto an intermediate membrane layer to generate a custom temperature controlled facial mask with area-specific treatments for that particular patient.

MODIFYING HUMIDITY AND CONVECTION TO GLABROUS TISSUE TO CONTROL METABOLISM
20180207053 · 2018-07-26 ·

Systems and methods for affecting metabolism, such as the treatment of metabolic syndrome are disclosed. A method for treating metabolic syndrome can include one or more of the steps including identifying a region of the patient comprising glabrous tissue; positioning the region of the patient comprising glabrous tissue into an enclosed chamber; adjusting the relative humidity of the enclosed chamber sufficient to create a physiologic metabolic effect; and activating a convection fan within the chamber to promote heat transfer from the glabrous tissue. The method need not involve altering the temperature within the enclosed chamber.

MULTILAYER FILM FOR DISPOSABLE BODY WARMER OUTER BAG, AND DISPOSABLE BODY WARMER

Provided is a multilayer film for a disposable body warmer outer bag, and a disposable body warmer, which are excellent in gas barrier property that inhibits permeation of oxygen gas, water vapor and the like, which can allow swelling due to hydrogen gas generated during a storage period to be prevented, and which are excellent in seal strength, impact resistance and weather resistance.

A disposable body warmer outer bag formed from a multilayer film comprising a first barrier layer (10) and a second barrier layer (20), wherein the first barrier layer (10) and the second barrier layer (20) consist of a polyvinylidene chloride layer (12) or a polyvinylidene chloride layer (22) obtained by coating at least one surface (upper portion in FIG. 1) of a heat-resistant resin substrate (11) or a heat-resistant resin substrate (21) with polyvinylidene chloride.

Prewarming gown

A device for warming a human body. The device is a gown that has a body with a thorax portion and a leg portion. One embodiment prevents redistribution hypothermia with a distributor attached to the inside of the leg portion. The sleeves, leg portion, and posterior of the gown are heat reflective. The anterior of the thorax portion of the gown is non-reflective. The distributor inflates when heated air is supplied. The distributor exhausts air into the gown. Temperature is maintained at a desired level for the extremities, while preventing the thorax area from being elevated to an uncomfortable level. Another embodiment is a perioperative warming device. The device is a gown that has a thorax portion and a leg portion. Each portion has an independent air chamber and inlet. The two portions are releasably connected. The sleeves, leg portion, and anterior of the gown are heat reflective.

EXOTHERMIC DEVICE

An object of the present invention is to provide an exothermic device which is capable of reaching a high temperature upon use, and capable of sustaining a high temperature state for a prolonged period of time. The present invention provides an exothermic device (1) including: an exothermic agent (5); and a packaging material enclosing the exothermic agent (5). The packaging material is in the form of a flat bag composed of a first surface and a second surface. Each of the first surface and the second surface includes a breathable region (2) and a non-breathable region (3).

Patient thermal regulation systems
12150889 · 2024-11-26 ·

Disclosed herein are devices and systems that conduct temperature-controlled air through one or more enclosed chambers that are placed adjacent to a patient to help control the patient's temperature without blowing air directly on the patient. In some embodiments, the enclosed chamber has an air inlet and an air outlet and a defined air flow pathway therebetween. Air exiting the device can be directed away from the patient. The devices can include a crush-resistant but flexible air-flow layer of material inside the enclosure that allows air flow even when a patient is laying on the device. A cushioning layer can also be included overlaying the air-flow layer. The flowing air can be any desired temperature to help warm or cool a patient. The patient can be a human or animal, for example.

FORCED AIR TEMPERATURE REGULATING PAD WITH CHEST WARMING FEATURE
20180049915 · 2018-02-22 ·

A temperature regulating pad has an air-permeable top layer, a perforated middle layer, and a bottom layer. The perforated middle layer is located between the top layer and the bottom layer. The top layer and the perforated middle layer delimit an upper airspace and the perforated middle layer and the bottom layer delimit a lower airspace. A slot is disposed through the pad to create a flap that can fold over onto the top of the patient. Forced air is received into the lower airspace and flows from the lower airspace into the upper airspace through the perforated middle layer, exiting the air-permeable top layer into an external airspace surrounding the patient. With the patient resting on the pad and the foldable flap deployed, warm air flows directly from underneath and above to regulate the temperature of the patient.

Method, and system for multi-layer cosmetic pads and use thereof

A cosmetic pad, having a top layer constructed of non-woven material, a bottom layer constructed in a manner to allow for ventilation through the bottom layer, and at least one heating element between the top layer and the bottom layer and methods for using the cosmetic pad and cosmetic agents therein are provided. A system for applying a cosmetic agent to a subject's skin, hair, hands, feet or face is also provided.
