Self-heating compress for moist heat delivery

A system for delivering thermal therapy to a treated body portion of a subject. The system preferably includes a therapy compress having at least one pocket or retainer, and at least one self-heating element configured for removable insertion within the at least one pocket of the therapy compress. In some example embodiments the therapy compress is in the form of an eye mask having first and second eye-covering lobes, each eye-covering lobe having a pocket for receiving a self-heating element. In some example embodiments the at least one self-heating element is air or oxygen activated, for example including a zinc-based self-heating material.

Feminine cooling pad

A feminine cooling pad configured for cooling a vulva and/or adjacent region. The cooling pad may include a non-adhesive outer liquid permeable layer configured to be oriented toward the pubic area during use. A liquid absorbent layer forming or adjacent to the outer layer absorbs bodily fluids or discharges during use. A cooling layer adjacent to the liquid absorbent layer provides cooling for at least about 15 minutes when the cooling pad is placed adjacent to the pubic area of a woman. An optional adhesive layer adjacent to the cooling layer can adhere the feminine cooling pad to an undergarment or clothing during use and maintain the cooling pad in a desired orientation. A feminine heating pad may include a microwavable material that becomes warm or hot when placed in a microwave oven. A feminine cooling pad can operate as a heating pad when heated instead of cooled.

COLD PACK FOR BANDAGE

A bandage, such as an adhesive bandage or non-adhesive bandage, can be modified to include a cold pack. The cold pack may be placed in a pocket formed by a gauze sponge of the bandage and a backing of the bandage. The cold pack may also be adhered to a surface of the bandage. The cold temperature of the cold pack can, in some instances, reduce swelling at the wound site, possibly facilitate faster healing, and possibly provide psychological benefits that promote healing.
