RECORDING LAYER, OPTICAL DATA RECORDING MEDIUM, AND SPUTTERING TARGET
A recording layer for an optical data recording medium is described. Recording is performed by irradiating the recording layer with a laser beam. The recording layer contains a W oxide, an Fe oxide, and at least one of a Ta oxide and a Nb oxide. The recording layer contains 10-60 atomic % of Fe and a total of 3-50 atomic % of Ta and Nb relative to the total metal atoms therein.
HOLOGRAPHIC RECORDING MEDIUM, COMPOSITION FOR FORMING PHOTOPOLYMER LAYER AND OPTICAL ELEMENT
The present invention relates to a holographic recording media wherein an adhesive force between the photopolymer layer and the adhesive protective layer before light irradiation is 500 to 5,000 gf/20 nm, and a haze value of the photopolymer layer is 3% or less, and an optical element including the holographic recording medium.

Multilayer optical information recording disk and method for manufacturing same
A multilayer optical information recording disk comprising a plurality of recording layers and intermediate layers provided between the plurality of recording layers, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. At least one of two intermediate layers disposed adjacent to respective sides of one recording layer is made of adhesive. Each of the recording layers includes a polymer binder and a dye dispersed in the polymer binder or includes a polymer to which a dye is bonded. Each recording layer is configured such that the dye absorbs a recording beam and generates heat which deforms the recording layer, causing an interface between the recording layer and the intermediate layer made of adhesive to have a protrusive shape protruding into the intermediate layer, thereby recording information thereat. The interface between the recording layer and the recording layer made of adhesive has a groove for track-following servo control.

Multidimensional optical storage media having light confinement layers and reading methodology therefor
Described are optical recording media for recording data in voxels, the optical recording media including a plurality of data recording regions for recording the voxels, the data recording regions separated by buffer regions having optical properties such that illumination from a reader that enters one of the data recording regions remains preferentially confined in said one of the data recording regions until being scattered by interaction with one or more of the voxels. Also described are methods for reading the described optical recording media, which include separating the light received from illuminating the voxels based on wavelength, polarization, or other optical properties.
