The device may include a capacitor, a first applicator with a first magnetic field generating coil, a second applicator with a second magnetic field generating coil, a first switch to discharge energy from the capacitor to the first magnetic field generating coil to generate a first time-varying magnetic field, and a second switch to discharge energy from the capacitor to the second magnetic field generating coil to generate a second time-varying magnetic field. The magnetic field generating coils may be spaced apart from the casings to allow cooling media to flow. The time-varying magnetic fields may have a plurality of pulses with biphasic impulses, and when applied to a muscle in a body region, the muscle is contracted. The body region may be a buttock, an abdomen, arms, or thighs.

The applicator may include a thermoelectric cooler (TEC, 136, 704, 706) where the hot side is cooled by coolant held within the applicator. The cold side of the TEC may be thermally coupled to a cooling plate (138, 560) configured to cool a targeted area of the skin at a predetermined temperature range for a predetermined period of time. The cooling system may also be used to relieve localized pain at certain area of the body and/or utilized for cryotherapy.

The applicator includes a flexible portion and a rigid portion. The rigid portion includes a thermally conductive plate and a frame coupling the thermally conductive plate and the flexible portion. An interior cavity of the applicator is in fluid communication with the suction source, and the frame maintains contiguous engagement between the heat removal source and the thermally conductive plate.

The slurry is suitable for injection into subcutaneous fat of a human subject for removal of adipose tissue.
