CRYOPROTECTANT FOR USE WITH A TREATMENT DEVICE FOR IMPROVED COOLING OF SUBCUTANEOUS LIPID-RICH CELLS
A cryoprotectant for use with a treatment device for improved removal of heat from subcutaneous lipid-rich cells of a subject having skin is provided. The cryoprotectant is a non-freezing liquid, gel, or paste for allowing pre-cooling of the treatment device below 0 C. while preventing the formation of ice thereon. The cryoprotectant may also prevent freezing of the treatment device to the skin or ice from forming from moisture seeping out from the skin. The cryoprotectant may further be hygroscopic, thermally conductive, and biocompatible.
NON-SHIVERING CRYOTHERMOGENESIS METHOD FOR REDUCING ADIPOSE TISSUES
The present disclosure refers to a non-shivering cryothermogenesis method for locally reducing adipose tissue of a subject's body, including: (a) applying at least one applicator to the subject's skin; (b) applying at least one additional applicator to a local region wherein adipose tissue reduction is desired; (c) the applicator maintaining skin superficial temperature between 4 C. and 12 C.; and (d) applying the applicators for a total period of time between 20 and 60 min.
Aesthetic method of biological structure treatment by magnetic field
Combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field are described. The treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. The methods are focused on enhancing a visual appearance of the patient.
TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT ADHESION BETWEEN APPLICATOR AND SKIN DURING COOLING OF TISSUE
A method and apparatus in accordance with a particular embodiment of the present invention includes applying adhesive onto skin of a human subject. An applicator is then brought into contact with the adhesive such the adhesive is disposed between the applicator and the subject's skin. The applicator is activated to cool a tissue region via the subject's skin, via the heat-transfer surface of the applicator, and via the adhesive. While the tissue region cools, the adhesive also cools, thereby reversibly strengthening adhesion between the subject's skin and the heat-transfer surface and forming a strong bond therebetween. The strengthened adhesion inhibits any movement of the applicator relative to the skin. After cooling the tissue region, the adhesive is warmed, thereby weakening the adhesion which allows the heat-transfer surface of the applicator to be easily separated from the skin.
Aesthetic method of biological structure treatment by magnetic field
In methods for treating a patient, a time varying magnetic field is applied to a patient's body and causes a muscle contraction. The time-varying magnetic field may be monophasic, biphasic, polyphasic and/or static. The method may reduce adipose tissue, improve metabolism, blood and/or lymph circulation. The method may use combinations of treatments to enhance the visual appearance of the patient.
COLD TREATMENT APPARATUS
There is a chiller for cooling a human body down to dissolve fat on a person's body. There is a device which includes a housing. The housing has at least one handle, and is configured to at least partially house a cold plate. The cold plate is also chilled by a chiller disposed inside of the housing. The chiller is at least partially disposed in the housing and is configured to have access to at least one vent. The at least one vent is positioned on the housing. In at least one embodiment, the at least one vent is positioned opposite the cold plate.
Aesthetic method of biological structure treatment by magnetic field
Combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field are described. The methods include generating a time-varying magnetic field and applying the magnetic field to muscle fibers, neuromuscular plates, or peripheral nerves innervating muscle fibers within the body region of the patient such that a muscle is caused to contract. The treatment methods include generating optical waves and applying the optical waves to the body region of the patient to heat a target biological structure of the patient. The methods include providing an applicator housing a coil to generate the time-varying magnetic field and an optical waves generating device to generate the optical waves and attaching the applicator to the patient via a belt.

CRYOTHERAPIES
Delivering cold slurry to internal tissues can be used in therapies for treating a variety or medical diseases and conditions. For example, cold slurry can activate brown adipose tissue to treat obesity. Cold slurry can be delivered to tissue injured by trauma or disease to reduce inflammation, which in turn reduces pain and leads to quicker recovery. Cold slurry therapy can also be used to treat muscular and neurological disorders as well as to manage pain. The cooling effect of cold slurry delivered at or near a nerve reduces innervation that nerve, which in turn reduces spasms or pain. The cooling effect can also cause tissue to undergo the cell death. Advantageously, cold slurry therapies can be used to reduce or remove tissue, for example, to treat fibroadenomas or scar tissue.
