LAMINATED FILMS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
An article comprises a laminate with a layer comprising a first latex composition containing a cross-linker component selected from sulfur, organic peroxide, vulcanizing activators, and vulcanizing accelerator; and a second layer comprising a second latex composition free of the cross-linker component. The laminate is formed by dipping a mold into the first latex composition then into the second latex composition forming a laminated film, then curing the laminated film by heating to a temperature between 90° C. to 140° C. Lastly, the laminated film is removed from the mold via inversion such that the second layer is inwards and the first layer is outwards.
Glove with fingertip regions of a reduced circumference
An ambidextrous or hand-specific glove including a wrist region, a palm region, and a digit region. The glove may be fabricated of nitrile rubber that is free of or essentially free of zinc, sulfur and accelerators to reduce allergic reactions in populations required to frequently wear protective gloves. A band region that partially or fully encircles a user's finger knuckles may be provided for easier finger bending. Texturing may be provided on glove surfaces that are used to grip articles. The fingertip regions on the front surface of the index and middle finger regions may be un-textured or smooth to enable a user to take a patient's pulse. These fingertip regions may be of reduced or smaller diameter and circumference so as to pull the glove material tightly around the tips of the user's finger and thereby applying pressure thereto so that even a faint pulse in a patient may be detected.
ROLLED PRODUCT WITH INTERWOVEN UNITS OF PRODUCT
Illustrated views of items to be packaged for use are presented. The items are useful for preparing trash to be placed in a trash bin, protecting hands from harmful or infectious conditions, storage, etc. The items may be trash bags, gloves, and the like. The storage of bags and the like items is useful for any items which is stored rolled groupings and removed on a single item basis. The preparation of the items for retrieval of use provide a more efficient retrieval of the item and thus less down time and/or frustration during the process of getting a new item to use. The preparation of items provides for an efficient pull off the roll thus preventing a person from having to fiddle with each item.
ANTIMICROBIAL WEARABLE ARTICLE
Disclosed herein are articles (e.g., wearable articles, such as gloves and masks) comprising an antimicrobial material, and methods of manufacture thereof. In various embodiments, the antimicrobial material comprises dimethyloctadecyl[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ammonium, or a salt thereof. In some embodiments, the antimicrobial article (e.g., a wearable article, such as a glove or mask) may have antiviral properties against coronavirus, such as SARS-CoV-2.
Hair-coloring composition and method
Hair dye composition and method of dyeing hair that targets only at least one grey part using a permanent hair dye component comprising a specific volume percentage of a particulate pigment to permanent hair dye component. The purpose of some embodiments of the invention is to delay the need for women to dye their hair in full. At least one pigment particle (about 0.0770 ml or about 1/64th of a teaspoon) may be added to a bottle of 71 ml of permanent hair dye, which allows the permanent hair dye composition to become visible and allows for more accuracy during application. Using small quantities of 5 cc per application (hair dye: 2.5 ml; developer: 2.5 ml) reduces the amount of dye applied to needless areas of the hair. The use of a make-up sponge stick allows for better accuracy. The composition is multi-use, and provides for 28 applications (71 ml bottle of dye and 71 ml of developer), and will save users time and money. All these characteristics provide for a hair dye composition that significantly reduces the amount of harmful chemicals applied to users' hair.
Damp Hand Donning and Moisturizing Glove
A blend for coating a flexible article and a process for making the same such that the coated flexible article has an improved coefficient of friction. The blend includes an aqueous emulsion of at least one acrylic polymer and at least one water insoluble emollient in solid form at room temperature, wherein the water insoluble emollient is uniformly and stably dispersed in the blend. A glove composed of a substrate formed of a flexible layer, the substrate having a first surface forming a donning side of the glove and a second surface forming a grip side of the glove; and a substantially uniform coating over the first surface of the glove, the coating including a blend of at least one acrylic polymer and at least one water insoluble emollient in solid form at room temperature has an improved coefficient of friction. A process for making the coated glove is also disclosed.
GLOVE WITH REDUCED CIRCUMFERENCE FINGERTIP REGIONS
An ambidextrous or hand-specific glove including a wrist region, palm region, and at least one digit region having a fingertip region and a remaining portion. A part of a 360° perimeter of the fingertip region is reduced in length relative to the perimeter of the remaining portion of that digit region. The reduced circumference fingertip region is configured to be smaller than the tip of a user's finger or thumb when inserted into the glove. The reduction in the circumference of the fingertip region may include reducing an arcuate length of a pair of opposed sections of the fingertip region. The opposed sections may be sections of the front and rear surfaces of the digit region or opposed sections of the first side surface and second side surface of the digit region.
NITRILE GLOVE
Provided are nitrile gloves comprising manganese dioxide, that may have improved permeation resistance, especially improved permeation resistance against hydrogen peroxide. Provided also are methods for preparing the nitrile gloves and improving the permeation resistance of nitrile gloves.
Method for producing laminate
A method of producing a laminated body, the method including a coagulant solution deposition step of depositing a coagulant solution on a fiber substrate, and a coagulation step of forming a polymer layer on the fiber substrate by bringing a polymer latex into contact with the fiber substrate having the coagulant solution deposited thereon to cause a polymer to coagulate. As the coagulant solution, a solution obtained by dissolving or dispersing 0.2 to 7.0% by weight of a metal salt as a coagulant and 0.1 to 7.0% by weight of an organic acid in a solvent is used. In the method of producing a laminated body, the metal salt is a polyvalent metal salt. In the method of producing a laminated body, the organic acid is an organic acid having at least one group selected from a carboxyl group, a sulfo group, a hydroxy group, and a thiol group.
Elastomeric article
An accelerator-free elastomeric formulation comprising base polymers, crosslinkers, stabilizers, an activator, an antioxidant, a pigment, a wax, an antifoam and a pH adjuster. A method of preparing an accelerator-free elastomeric formulation, comprising the steps of mixing Base polymer A with Crosslinker A to produce mixture A, adding while stirring Stabilizer A, Crosslinker B, an activator, an antioxidant, a pigment, a wax and an antifoam one after another with no particular order and followed by a pH adjuster into the mixture A to produce mixture B, adding Base polymer B and Stabilizer B one after another with no particular order into the mixture B to produce an accelerator-free elastomeric formulation and allowing the accelerator-free elastomeric formulation to mature.
