DIFFERENCE ENGINE FOR MEDIA CHANGE MANAGEMENT
20230215467 · 2023-07-06 · ·

A universal media difference engine generates a change list specifying the edits required to create an edited revision of a media composition from a base version. The difference engine determines the format of the media composition, locates and installs a plug-in corresponding to the format, and uses the plug-in to parse the composition and generate the change list. The supported compositional formats include formats native to specific media editing applications, as well as interoperable formats. The difference engine is able to convert rich change lists expressed in native form to canonical change lists that are compatible with multiple editing applications. Timeline, mixer configuration, and scene graph composition types are supported. Content management system storage requirements are reduced by storing a base version and change lists instead of multiple revisions of the composition. A media composition recreation engine recreates an edited revision by applying a change list to a prior version.

Graphical user interface for content management

A graphical user interface (GUI) includes a first display region including a first Station Selector object and multiple first sub-regions displayed within the first display region. First user input, entered using the first Station Selector object is received, where the first user input identifies a first media station. In response to receiving the first user input, the first sub-regions are automatically populated with first information associated with first media provided by the first media station. At some later time, second user input is received via the same Station Selector object, where the second user input identifies a second media station, and the first information displayed in the first sub-regions is automatically replaced with second information associated with second media presented via the second media station in response to receiving the second user input identifying the second media station.

System and method for presenting and viewing a spherical video segment

Systems and methods for tagging portions a spherical video segment are provided. The spherical video segment may include visual content. User input indicating a moment in time in the spherical video segment and a viewing angle corresponding to the moment in time may be received. Tag information for the spherical video segment may be generated. The tag information may identify the moment in time and the viewing angle such that a subsequent presentation of the spherical video segment, proximate to the moment in time, includes a notification that the viewing angle is outside a display field of view based on the viewing angle being located outside the display field of view.

Playback device, playback method, and recording medium

A decoding system decodes a video stream, which is encoded video information. The decoding system includes a decoder that acquires the video steam and generates decoded video information, and a maximum luminance information acquirer that acquires, in a case where a dynamic range of luminance of the video stream is a second dynamic range that is wider than a first dynamic range, maximum luminance information indicating the maximum luminance of the video stream from the video stream. The decoding system also includes an outputter that outputs the decoded video information and the maximum luminance information. Where the dynamic range of luminance of the video stream is expressed by the maximum luminance of all pictures in the video stream as the maximum luminance information, the outputter outputs the decoded video information, along with the maximum luminance information indicating the maximum luminance of all pictures in the video stream.

According to various embodiments, a content marking command is received from a mobile device at a particular time. For example, a user selection of the content marking command may be received via a user interface displayed on the mobile device. The content marking command may indicate a user interest in a particular moment of an event viewed by the user. Moreover, the event viewed by the user and video content data corresponding to the event may be identified. Further, content marking data may be generated, whether content marking data indicates a particular portion of the identified video content data corresponding to the particular moment of the event.

AGGREGATED CONTENT ITEM USER INTERFACES

The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for navigating, viewing, and editing content items, including aggregated content items.

Transferring playback from a mobile device to a playback device

A first connection state may be entered on a computing device. While the computing device is in the first connection state, actions taken on a playlist on the computing device may be applied to the playlist and not applied to a playback queue associated with a zone. An input may be received via the computing device, indicating a selection of the zone. In response to receiving the input, a second connection state may be entered. Entering the second connection state may comprise establishing a connected state between the computing device and the one or more playback devices. While the connected state is established, one or more actions taken on the playlist on the computing device may be applied to the playlist and transmitted, in a message to the zone over a network. The one or more actions may be one or more corresponding actions applied to the playback queue.

Reproduction device, reproduction method, and recording medium

The present technology relates to a reproduction device, a reproduction method, and a recording medium that enable content having a wide dynamic range of brightness to be displayed with an appropriate brightness. A recording medium, on which the reproduction device of one aspect of the present technology performs reproduction, records coded data of an extended video that is a video having a second brightness range that is wider than a first brightness range, brightness characteristic information that represents a brightness characteristic of the extended video, and brightness conversion definition information used when performing a brightness conversion of the extended video to a standard video that is a video having the first brightness range. The reproduction device decodes the coded data and converts the extended video obtained by decoding the coded data to the standard video on the basis of the brightness conversion definition information.

Systems and procedures for transforming video into a condensed visual representation. An example procedure may include receiving video comprised of a plurality of frames. For each frame, the example procedure may create a first representation, reduced in one dimension, wherein a visual property of each pixel of the first representation is assigned by aggregating a visual property of the pixels of the frame having the same position in the unreduced dimension. The example procedure may further form a condensed visual representation including the first representations aligned along the reduced dimension according to an order of the frames in the video.
