MESSENGER MSQRD - MASK INDEXING

Exemplary embodiments relate to the creation of a media effect index for group video conversations. Media effect application (e.g., in the form of graphical overlays, filters, sounds, etc.) may be tracked in a timeline during a chat session. The resulting index may be used to create a highlights reel, which may serve as an index into a live show or may be used to determine the best time to insert materials into a recording of the conversation. The index may be used to automatically detect events in the video feed, to allow viewers to skip ahead to exciting moments (e.g., represented by clusters of applications of particular types of media effects), to determine where each participant spoke in a discussion, or to provide a common watch together experience while multiple users watch a common video. An analysis of the index may be used for research or consumer testing.

Video playing method and device

Embodiments of the present application provide a method and apparatus for playing a video. The method includes: obtaining video information of each of moving objects contained in a currently played video frame image; updating a pre-created moving object pool based on the obtained video information of each of the moving objects; extracting, from the moving object pool, a size of a forefront moving object in the moving object pool and a position of the forefront moving object in the video frame image, obtaining a first sub-image containing the forefront moving object from the video frame image, and displaying the first sub-image in a first window; and sequentially obtaining second sub-images surrounding the forefront moving object from a cruising region of the video frame image, and displaying the second sub-images in a second window sequentially. Embodiments of the present application solve the problem that the video frame is too large to be easily viewed, and can also display the related information among the moving objects.

Method and device for transmitting audio and video for playback

A system that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting a first action at a first time during a first presentation of video content of a multimedia stream. The first action is coincident with a visual aspect of an event observable in the video content. A second action is detected at a second time during a second presentation of audio content of an audio stream, wherein the second action is coincident with an audible aspect of the event observable in a the second presentation of the audio content. A time difference is determined between the first time and the second time, wherein the first presentation of the video content and the second presentation of the audio content are synchronized based on the time difference. Other embodiments are disclosed.

METHOD, SYSTEM AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR INTERACTIVELY IDENTIFYING SAME INDIVIDUALS OR OBJECTS PRESENT IN VIDEO RECORDINGS

A method, system and computer program product for interactively identifying same individuals or objects present in video recordings is disclosed. When a thumbnail in a set of thumbnails is selected, new information is obtained. The new information may be that an individual or object is present in the portion of the video recording associated with the thumbnail. A search can be carried out for the individual or object based on the new information. The search generates new match likelihoods for each of displayed thumbnails within a user interface page. The displayed thumbnails are re-ordered based on the new match likelihoods.
