STORAGE DEVICE BRACKET
A storage device bracket configured to hold and position a storage device includes a bracket body and at least one positioning assembly. The storage device has first and second grooves respectively provided on two opposite sides thereof. The bracket body defines a receiving space for receiving the storage device. The at least one positioning assembly includes an engaging hook and an elastic engaging plate respectively provided on two opposite sides of the bracket body. The engaging hook protrudes from one of the opposite sides of the bracket body into the receiving space, and is configured to be removably inserted into the first groove. The elastic engaging plate has an elastic plate portion, and a protrusion connected to and protruding from the elastic plate portion into the receiving space for insertion into the second groove so as to limit movement of the storage device relative to the storage device bracket.
Disk device with cover damping configuration
A disk device according to one embodiment includes a base, a first cover, a second cover, and a damper. The base includes a bottom surface, a side wall protruding in a first direction from the bottom surface, and a support surface located at an end of the side wall in the first direction. The first cover is attached to the base to close the inner space. The second cover is joined to the base while being supported by the support surface, to cover the first cover. The damper includes a constrained layer in-between the first cover and the second cover and a viscoelastic material between the first cover and the constrained layer. The constrained layer includes a smaller-thickness part extending along the support surface and a larger-thickness part connected to the smaller-thickness part.
Integrated locking mechanism for drive blanks
A drive blank comprises a front member having a first end, a second end, a back face, and an aperture formed between the first end and the second end. The drive blank further has a first side member and a second side member each extending perpendicularly from the first end and the second end of the front member, respectively. The drive blank has a rear member extending parallel to the front member and between the first and second side members. A locking element is formed integral to the front member. The locking element comprises a looping portion having a first end and a second end and a push button formed at the second end of the looping portion and disposed in the aperture. The push button has a locking catch, releasably coupled to a latch element of a handle, to lock the handle in a closed position.
Spindle motor having blind hole configuration detail and hard disk drive device having the same
A spindle motor includes a base being a cast product as a part of a housing of a hard disk drive device. The base has a hole portion configured to accommodate a fastening member configured to fasten a member to be attached to the base. The hole portion is a blind hole extending in a depth direction from a surface of the base and having a tip surface formed flat.
Limited blast radius storage server system
A device includes an interposer card that includes a processor, such as a system on a chip (SoC), and memory devices. The interposer card mounts to a mass storage device and has a shape that corresponds to a size of an end of the mass storage device to which the interposer card is mounted. The SoC of the interposer card is configured to implement an individual server for the mass storage device to which the interposer card is mounted. In some embodiments, a data storage system includes multiple mass storage devices mounted in a chassis and coupled to one or more backplanes, wherein interposer cards are connected between the mass storage devices and the one or more backplanes.
Disk device with wiring board on outer surface of housing and connected to motor and sealing configuration
According to one embodiment, a disk device includes a housing with a bottom wall, magnetic disks supported on a hub of a motor, a printed circuit board provided on an outer surface of the bottom wall, and a wiring board attached on the outer surface of the bottom wall. The bottom wall includes a recess formed in the outer surface, a step located on border between the outer surface and the recess, and through holes opened to the recess. The wiring board includes one end portion disposed in the recess and connection pads on the one end portion, connected to lead wires of a coil. An adhesive is filled into the recess and the through holes, and covers the one end and a solder joint and seals the through holes.
Coupling between a computing module and a cover structure of an information handling system
An information handling system, including a cover structure including a plurality of coupling members positioned on a surface of the cover structure, each of the coupling members defining a cavity; and a computing module having a perimeter and including a plurality of protruding members positioned on the perimeter, wherein each of a subset of the plurality of protruding members corresponds to a respective coupling member of the plurality of coupling members, wherein, when the computing module is coupled to the cover structure, each of subset of the plurality of protruding members is positioned with the cavity of the corresponding coupling member of the plurality of coupling members to maintain a positioning of the computing module with respect to the cover structure.
