A storage system includes a media player including a preamplifier that is adapted to provide data access to a storage cartridge lacking an independent read/write preamplifier. The media player couples to the storage cartridges across an interconnect, and the storage cartridge is adapted to perform data access operations responsive to signals received from the media player through the interconnect.

According to one embodiment, a disk device includes a housing with a bottom wall, magnetic disks supported on a hub of a motor, a printed circuit board provided on an outer surface of the bottom wall, and a wiring board attached on the outer surface of the bottom wall. The bottom wall includes a recess formed in the outer surface, a step located on border between the outer surface and the recess, and through holes opened to the recess. The wiring board includes one end portion disposed in the recess and connection pads on the one end portion, connected to lead wires of a coil. An adhesive is filled into the recess and the through holes, and covers the one end and a solder joint and seals the through holes.

STORAGE DRIVE ADAPTER
A storage drive adapter may comprise an adapter board, which may include a first and second carrier module interface to removably engage with a first and a second storage drive carrier module, respectively. The adapter board may further include a dual ported storage drive connector to engage with a complementary storage drive bay interface. The dual ported storage drive connector may include a first port to provide a first signal path from the complementary storage drive bay interface to the first carrier module interface. Similarly, the dual ported storage drive connector may also include a second port to provide a second signal path from the complementary storage drive bay interface to the second carrier module interface.
Storage drive adapter
A storage drive adapter may comprise an adapter board, which may include a first and second carrier module interface to removably engage with a first and a second storage drive carrier module, respectively. The adapter board may further include a dual ported storage drive connector to engage with a complementary storage drive bay interface. The dual ported storage drive connector may include a first port to provide a first signal path from the complementary storage drive bay interface to the first carrier module interface. Similarly, the dual ported storage drive connector may also include a second port to provide a second signal path from the complementary storage drive bay interface to the second carrier module interface.
HARD DRIVE ENCLOSURE
A hard drive enclosure with functionality of quick-release, is for application in a host computer, and comprises: an accommodating unit, a plurality of removable units, a connection inter face module, and a connection module. Wherein the accommodating unit has an accommodating space and a receiving opening. And the plurality of removable units is inserted into the accommodating space through the receiving opening, and each of the plurality of removable units carries with a storage device. In the present invention, according to particular design of electrical connectors constituted by printed circuit board assembly, so as to improve insufficient space for electrical routing. In other words, the hard drive enclosure of the present invention includes advantages of decreasing assembly time and low production cost.
