Low spike count ring buffer mechanisms on neuromorphic hardware are provided. A ring buffer comprises a plurality of memory cells. The plurality of memory cells comprises one or more neurosynaptic core. A demultiplexer is operatively coupled to the ring buffer. The demultiplexer is adapted to receive input comprising a plurality of spikes, and write sequentially to each of the plurality of memory cells. A plurality of output connectors is operatively coupled to the ring buffer. Each of the plurality of output connectors is adapted to provide an output based on contents of a subset of the plurality of memory cells.

SERIALIZED SRAM ACCESS TO REDUCE CONGESTION

A circuit includes a serializer configured to receive a non-serialized input signal having a first bit-width and generate a plurality of serialized input signals each having a second bit-width. A memory array is configured to receive each of the plurality of serialized input signals. The memory array is further configured to generate a plurality of serialized output signals. A de-serializer is configured to receive the plurality of serialized output signals and generate a non-serialized output signal. The plurality of serialized output signals each have a bit-width equal to second bit-width and the non-serialized output signal has a bit-width equal to the first bit-width.

Preinstall of partial store cache lines

A system and method to transfer an ordered partial store of data from a controller to a memory subsystem receives the ordered partial store of data into a buffer of the controller. The method also includes issuing a preinstall command to the memory subsystem, wherein the preinstall command indicates that data from a number of addresses of memory corresponding with a target memory location be obtained in local memory of the memory subsystem along with ownership of the data for subsequent use. A query command is issued to the memory subsystem. The query command requests an indication from the memory subsystem that the memory subsystem is ready to receive and correctly serialize the ordered partial store of data. The ordered partial store of data is transferred from the controller to the memory subsystem.

Implementing DRAM row hammer avoidance

A method and apparatus for implementing row hammer avoidance in a dynamic random access memory (DRAM) in a computer system. Hammer detection logic identifies a hit count of repeated activations at a specific row in the DRAM. Monitor and control logic receiving an output of the hammer detection logic compares the identified hit count with a programmable threshold value. Responsive to a specific count as determined by the programmable threshold value, the monitor and control logic captures the address where a selected row hammer avoidance action is provided.
