TAPE PRODUCT
The tape product prevents wounds on skin when peeling off a tape member from occurring. The tape product 100 includes a tape member 10 having an adhesive surface, and a mesh member 20 releasably provided on the adhesive surface of the tape member 10. When the tape product 100 is applied to skin, the adhesive surface of the tape member 10 adheres to the skin through the openings 21 of the mesh member 20.
Breathable residual-limb socket system
Breathable residual-limb system that admits air and allows sweat to evaporate from the surface of the residual limb. In an embodiment, the system comprises a liner sock to be worn on the residual limb, and comprising air-permeable textile forming a substantially cylindrical portion that is closed on a distal end and open on a proximal end and comprising an internal surface and an external surface. The liner sock further comprises a friction-interface material that covers only a portion of the internal surface of the air-permeable textile, such that, when worn on the residual limb, the friction-interface material contacts a surface of the residual limb, and an uncovered portion of the air-permeable textile which the friction-interface material does not cover allows air to pass between an external environment of the liner sock and the surface of the residual limb.
PATCHES FOR LOCALIZED USE
The present invention relates to a device and a method. The device of the present invention comprising a patch comprising: a substrate, and an adhesive on the substrate. Further, the patch is configured to be attached to a skin via the adhesive to form a pocket between the patch and the skin, to allow introduction of a material into the pocket, and to hold the material within the pocket.
MULTI-LAYERED WOUND DRESSING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A multi-layered wound dressing including a fibrous absorbent layer for absorbing exudate from a wound site. The wound dressing also includes a support layer configured to reduce shrinkage of at least a portion of the wound dressing.
WOUND DRESSING INCLUDING A POLY-OXYGENATED METAL HYDROXIDE
An oxygen impregnated material suitable for an oxygenating therapeutic to treat wounds with oxygen. The impregnated material avoids the applicational complications associated with conventional oxygen therapeutics, such as reliance on gaseous oxygen, systemic toxicity, and patient immobility. This impregnated material can be used, for example, in bandage-type dressings, or a drape of a vacuum-assisted closure (VAC). This impregnated material can also be used in a diaper to treat and reduce the formation of a rash on the skin.
Cylindrical bandage
A cylindrical bandage is held in place without using binding means such as strings tied to an upper limb. Additionally, the cylindrical bandage for a lower limb or upper limb fits the shapes and dimensions of a body part and stays on the body part and thus allows great increase in venous return. The cylindrical bandage includes a tubular knit being of a length corresponding to a length of an arm or a leg and a gutter-shaped knit extending from a lengthwise first end of the tubular knit. This gutter-shaped knit has smaller circumferential length than the first end of the tubular knit and has a cut-out section with a horseshoe or V shape.
Barrier band
The Barrier Band for an area on a human body, involving a vascular device access area. The present invention relates to an apparatus that provides a barrier between a person's skin, and any vascular access device, and its components, to prevent compromising skin, and to provide comfort to a person. The barrier band is offered in many sizes, and is made with a stretchable material, to accommodate every patient, and any body part being serviced. It is offered in both a washable and disposable version. Its design and stitching may vary, and it may or may not have an adjustable apparatus, or any other suitable component to tighten or loosen the band.
