DAMAGE-RESISTANT GLOVES WITH BREACH-INDICATOR FUNCTION

Described herein is a multi-layered latex cover, particularly a glove, comprising a main body and a rim. The main body comprises an outer latex layer, an inner latex layer and an intermediate layer comprising particles. The rim essentially consists of the agglutinated outer and inner latex layer. The particles in the intermediate layer are chemically functionalized with a compound comprising hydrophobic groups. Prior to functionalization, the particles are characterized by a mean diameter of 100 m and a surface comprising exposed OH groups. The invention further relates to a method of producing the multi-layered cover, comprising the steps of providing a former and sequentially immersing it in a first coagulator solution, a first latex dispersion, a particle suspension and a second latex dispersion.

A method for making rubber films with improved ESD (electrostatic discharge) property relates to a method for making better ESD gloves using improved rubber composition with a precipitated CaCO.sub.3 filler. In addition, non-metallic filled organic pigment such as AZO compounds are suggested to make better ESD gloves. Additionally, other improved method steps such as chlorination and addition of Carbon Black in conjunction with chlorination are suggested to make better ESD gloves.

Hygienic glove with integral removal engagement tabs

PROTECTIVE GLOVE

A protective glove includes at least a first finger section and a second finger section, each finger section comprising a protective layer configured to be at least partially arranged over a finger part of a user; and a pivot connecting said first finger section and said second finger section. The pivot has a pivot axis that substantially coincides with a finger joint of a user's hand. One of the first and second finger section comprises a rounded protrusion and wherein the other of the first and second finger section comprises a corresponding rounded recess configured to receive said rounded protrusion, said protrusion and recess together forming said pivot connecting said first finger section and said second finger section. The first and second finger section and said pivot define a substantially continuous and flush wall.

Cut, abrasion and/or puncture resistant knitted gloves

An improved protective knitted glove assembly includes a knitted glove and two or more non-coplanar arrays of printed guard plates. The guard plates are small, regularly-spaced, generally uniform thickness, non-overlapping, hard polymer material members arranged in a predetermined pattern having an area parallel to a surface of the glove with major and minor dimensions. The major dimension to minor dimension aspect ratio of the guard plates is between about 3 and 1. The overall abrasion resistance of the glove assembly is substantially greater than an abrasion resistance of the knitted glove without the guard plates.
