An adhesive bandage comprising a base portion having a gauze portion to contact a wound and an adhesive portion, and the base portion defining a pocket adapted for storing the gauze portion, and allowing inspection and replacement thereof without having to remove the entire bandage.
WOUND COVERING APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to apparatus for covering a burn or other wound in ways that prevent or limit touching the wound. The present disclosure describes Burn Bandages that may include domes or structures that bridge over a wide range of a burn or wound size. In certain instances these structures may expand in one or more directions as they are adjusted to fit to a particular burn or wound size. Such bridging structures may include airways, openings, or voids that promote air/oxygen flow to the wound as the Burn Bandage sits upon surfaces or pads that contact healthy surrounding tissue while they cover a wound site. The apparatus may be any shape including, yet not limited to, a circle, a rectangle, a square, a hexagon, an octagon, an oval, a cone, a cylinder, have a semi-cylindrical shape, or that have any another geometric shape.
TWO-PART BANDAGE WITH REPLACEABLE WOUND COVERING PORTION
A two-piece bandage is useful for treating wound on a patient. The bandage includes a boundary portion including a bottom surface comprising adhesive for attaching the boundary portion to skin of a patient, an open window in the middle of the boundary portion permitting one to view a wound through the open window, and a top surface. The top surface includes a first portion of the top surface surrounding the open window including a flat surface and a second portion of the top surface including an uneven surface. The bandage further includes a plurality of replaceable wound covering portions, each replaceable wound covering portion comprising a padded section comprising a material to dress the wound.
DRESSING PROVIDING APERTURES WITH MULTIPLE ORIFICE SIZES FOR NEGATIVE-PRESSURE THERAPY
In one example embodiment, an apparatus for treating a tissue site may include a contact layer formed from a compressible material. The contact layer may include a plurality of apertures extending at least partially through the contact layer. The contact layer may be configurable such that at least a portion of the apertures include a first plurality of orifices having a diameter in a first diameter range and such that at least a portion of the apertures include a second plurality of orifices having a diameter in a second diameter range. The first diameter range may be from about 2 mm to about 6 mm. The second diameter range may be from about 8 mm to about 15 mm. The apparatus may include a cover configured to form a sealed space including the contact layer and the tissue site.
Wound therapy device and method
A wound covering assembly includes a wound covering membrane and a removable layer. The wound covering membrane can allow liquid or air to pass through the wound covering membrane from a wound site covered by the wound covering membrane to ambient and vice versa. The removable layer covers a portion of the wound covering membrane and is removable from the wound covering membrane when the wound covering membrane is affixed to skin around the wound site. The removable layer is configured and connected with the wound covering membrane such that air and liquid are inhibited from passing through the wound covering membrane and the removable layer when the wound covering membrane is affixed to skin surrounding the wound site and the removable layer is connected with the wound covering membrane. The wound covering assembly can be used with a pump assembly to provide negative pressure to the wound site.
Systems and methods for using negative pressure wound therapy to manage open abdominal wounds
Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to the treatment of wounds using negative pressure. Some embodiments disclosed herein provide for a foam pad, which may be suitable for use in abdominal wound sites, and which may be sized in a dimensionally-independent manner. Additional embodiments provide for a wound contact layer, as well as a system for the treatment of abdominal wounds.
WOUND TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A bandage for treating a wound includes a carrier plate and a peripheral support to affix to skin area surrounding a wound. The carrier plate and the peripheral support define an enclosure encompassing the wound and provide access to the wound for monitoring and treatment.

A Discontinuous Silicone Adhesive Article
A discontinuous silicone article is disclosed that includes a plurality of strands of radiation cured silicone gel arranged to form a net-like structure with openings between strands. The silicone gel provides adhesion to a surface, such as skin, and the openings provide for moisture transmission away from the surface. The discontinuous silicone article comprises at least one adhesive polymer strand and a plurality of joining strands. The adhesive polymer strands comprise a radiation cured silicone gel and each polymer strand repeatedly contacts an adjacent joining strand at bond regions.
