GUIDANCE SYSTEM OF ELECTRIC MOBILITY VEHICLE

An guidance system of an electric mobility vehicle includes a registration section in which replacement places of replacement batteries for the electric mobility vehicle are registered, an estimation section that estimates a possible travel distance of the electric mobility vehicle from a battery remaining capacity of the electric mobility vehicle, and a display section that displays replacement places within a range of the estimated possible travel distance of the electric mobility vehicle among the replacement places of the replacement batteries registered in the registration section on map information.

ONBOARD SYSTEM, ONBOARD DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM

An onboard system that reduces a mental pressure on a driver includes a remaining amount detector that detects a remaining amount of a power source remaining in a vehicle, a lighting detector that detects that a low power source indicator provided in the vehicle lights up, a lighting remaining amount storage unit that stores, as a lighting remaining amount, the remaining power source amount detected by the remaining amount detector at a timing at which the lighting detector detects the lighting of the low power source indicator, a notification remaining amount detector that detects a remaining power source amount larger by a predetermined amount than the lighting remaining amount stored in the lighting remaining amount storage unit, and a notifier that notifies information for promoting supply of the power source after the remaining power source amount larger than the lighting remaining amount by the predetermined amount is detected before the lighting remaining amount is detected.

Mobile Vehicle Refueling Method

A method whereby a mobile fuel station may refuel vehicles is disclosed. Fuel reservoirs are provided in a mobile fuel station that may store fuel and dispense fuel through a hybrid fuel line. Fuel nozzles are provided which can be detachably connected to the hybrid fuel line and can measure and display fuel dispensed from the mobile fuel station. Communication devices and a network are provided that allow a vehicle and a mobile fuel station to communicate location and status information wirelessly with the network. The network uses vehicle location data to create an optimized fueling path and predict vehicle refueling locations. A prepay deposit account or other automatic payment services that allow refueling and maintenance services to be provided at a user's convenience are also disclosed and claimed herein.

METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE POSITION OF A PORTABLE DEVICE

An augmented reality method for displaying information comprises: capturing a sequence of image frames by a camera of a portable device, obtaining movement data by using an inertial sensor of the portable device, determining a sampling frame rate according to the movement data, selecting a tracking image from the captured image frames according to the sampling frame rate, determining a position of the portable device by comparing the tracking image with a point cloud, and displaying information on a display of the device based on the determined position.

Systems and Methods for Preparing an Electric Vehicle for Travel

A user may specify via a user device an origin, a destination, a date of arrival and a time of arrival at a destination. A server may determine a route from the origin to the destination, the amount of time for travel from the origin to the destination and time for departure. The server may also determine whether the battery should be charged prior to departure and if it does, the server may control the charging process. Time for departure and charging may be reported to the user. Message may be sent to ask the user to connect the electric vehicle to the charger.

ROUTE-BIASED SEARCH

A route-biased search in a mobile navigation system locates points of interest (POI) on or convenient to a mobile user's current travel. The route-biased search operates in two modes, navigation and non-navigation. The navigation mode identifies the most convenient POIs that honor the mobile user's route to their destination. The non-navigation mode identifies the most convenient POIs that are located ahead of the user based on the user's inferred direction of travel. The route-biased search determines the best possible routes to the identified POIs taking into account the impact of the detour costs of traveling to the POI along with other ranking factors.

Packaged tours with turn-by-turn navigation

An improved guidance system and method provide a packaged tour object having tour directions and media related to points of interest of a tour for playing via a telematics unit. A user is provided, via their telematics unit, with specific directions to access points of interest of the tour in a certain sequence, while the telematics unit optionally conveys media content to the user at appropriate points. The media content may be keyed to an upcoming site, and may comprise audio and/or visual information. In addition, user convenience information such as parking and ticketing information may be contained ion the packaged tour object for presentation via the telematics unit.

Standardization of addresses and location information

Computer program products, methods, systems, apparatus, and computing entities are provided for standardizing addresses and providing information associated with geographic areas/points of interest. For example, location data can be collected for serviceable points. From the collected location data, addresses can be standardized, location-based searches can be performed, correct locations of serviceable points can be confirmed, and geographic representations can be generated.

Battery-operated vehicle route determination

A maximum required electric energy for operating a vehicle along a final section of the route under electric power alone when using a specified number of electrically operated devices is estimated. A maximum total electric energy required to operate the vehicle along the route is estimated. An alternate route is determined based on determining the detected stored electric energy is less than the estimated maximum total electric energy required to operate the vehicle along the route. The alternate route is determined based on an estimated maximum total electric energy required to operate the vehicle along the alternate route being greater than or equal to the detected stored electric energy. One of a) the determined alternate route, or b) based on determining no alternate route exists, a notification is output via a human/machine interface.

INFORMATION-ATTAINMENT SYSTEM BASED ON MONITORING AN OCCUPANT

Arrangements herein relate to an information-attainment system and a method of operating same. The system can include an inquiry input system to receive an inquiry for a point-of-interest (POI). The system can also include an occupant monitoring system to determine a potential occupant vector with respect to the POI. The system can further include a processor and a location determination system to acquire positioning information that is directly associated with the POI based on the potential occupant vector. The processor can receive the inquiry for the POI and the positioning information directly associated with the POI based on the potential occupant vector. In response to the receipt of the inquiry for the POI and the positioning information, the processor can be configured to identify the POI and acquire information associated with the POI that is responsive to the inquiry.
