An apparatus for collecting feature data includes a memory configured to store map information including a probability distribution of reliability indicating how likely a feature related to travel of vehicles exists as a function of position; and one or more processors configured to store feature data indicating the position of the feature in the memory whenever receiving the feature data from any of one or more vehicles via a communication circuit, update the probability distribution of reliability indicating how likely the feature exists as a function of position, based on the position of the feature indicated by each of one or more pieces of received feature data, and transmit an instruction to stop collecting the feature data to the one or more vehicles via the communication circuit for a feature regarding which the extent of the updated probability distribution is not greater than a predetermined threshold.
METHOD, DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR PERCEIVING MULTI-SITE ROADBED NETWORK AND TERMINAL
A method, a device and a system for perceiving a multi-site roadbed network are provided. The method includes: constructing a global grid map of the roadbed network that is marked with a position of the system for perceiving at least two roadbed base stations and a perceived range of the system; receiving the detected target list transmitted by each of the systems for perceiving at least two roadbed base stations, where the detected target list is the set of the preset detected targets; according to the position of each system for perceiving the roadbed base station, indexing into the global grid map the detected target list transmitted by each system for perceiving the roadbed base station to generate a global tracking list; and tracking the preset detected target in the detected target list transmitted by the system for perceiving the roadbed base station according to the global tracking list.
Safety and comfort constraints for navigation
A navigational system for a host vehicle may comprise at least one processing device. The processing device may be programmed to receive a first output and a second output associated with the host vehicle; identify a representation of a target object in the first output; and determine whether a characteristic of the target object triggers a navigational constraint. If the navigational constraint is not triggered, the processing device may verify the identification of the representation of the target object based on a combination of the first output and the second output. If the navigational constraint is triggered, the processing device may verify the identification of the representation of the target object based on the first output; and in response to the verification, cause at least one navigational change to the host vehicle.

An example method includes gathering, via a first module of a first type, first simultaneous localization and mapping data and gathering, via a second module of a second type, second simultaneous localization and mapping data. The method includes generating, via a simultaneous localization and mapping module, a first map based on the first simultaneous localization and mapping data and the second simultaneous localization and mapping data, the first map being of a first map type and generating, via the simultaneous localization and mapping module, a second map based on the first simultaneous localization and mapping data and the second simultaneous localization and mapping data, the second map being of a second map type. The map of the first type is used by vehicles with module(s) of the first and/or second types and the map of the second type is used by vehicles with a module of the second type exclusively.

Systems and methods for situational behavior of an autonomous vehicle are disclosed. In one aspect, an autonomous vehicle includes at least one perception sensor configured to generate perception data indicative of at least one other vehicle on a roadway, a non-transitory computer readable medium, and a processor. The processor is configured to determine that the other vehicle is violating one or more rules of the roadway based on the perception data, tag the other vehicle as a non-compliant driver, and modify control of the autonomous vehicle in response to tagging the other vehicle as a non-compliant driver.

Implementations are directed to assigning corresponding semantic identifiers to a plurality of rows of an agricultural field, generating a local mapping of the agricultural field that includes the plurality of rows of the agricultural field, and subsequently utilizing the local mapping in performance of one or more agricultural operations. In some implementations, the local mapping can be generated based on overhead vision data that captures at least a portion of the agricultural field. In these implementations, the local mapping can be generated based on GPS data associated with the portion of the agricultural field captured in the overhead vision data. In other implementations, the local mapping can be generated based on driving data generated during an episode of locomotion of a vehicle through the agricultural field. In these implementations, the local mapping can be generated based on GPS data associated with the vehicle traversing through the agricultural field.
