A measuring system and a pressure medium cylinder having a measuring system are disclosed.
DE BRUIJN SWITCH
A temporal multiplexing circuit can include a set of waveguides having different delay lengths, with the waveguides arranged according to a de Bruijn sequence. The set of waveguides can be coupled to a cyclic switch that selectably delivers a group of unsynchronized photons (or other signal pulses) from a contiguous group of input paths into a contiguous group of the delay waveguides. Similarly, a spatial multiplexing circuit can include a set of pairs of waveguides that each implement mode swapping of photons, with different swap distances, with the pairs of waveguides arranged according to a de Bruijn sequence. The set of waveguides can be coupled to a cyclic switch that selectably delivers a group of photons from a set of input paths into a contiguous group of the mode-swap waveguides. Temporal and spatial multiplexing can be combined in a switching network.
Method for Operating an Absolute Measuring Position Detection System Having a Single-Track Magnetic Code Object
In a method for operating, an absolute measuring position detection system having a sensor arrangement (100) and a single-track magnetic code object (105) with non-repeating code regions, wherein the sensor arrangement (100) is formed by a substantially linear arrangement of a plurality of magnetic field sensors (110), it is provided in particular that the relative position of the sensor arrangement (100) with respect to the respective code object (105) is determined by searching for a partial pattern which is most similar to a currently sensor-detected partial pattern on the basis of available reference data containing magnetic curve progressions or magnetic patterns of magnetic field vector components detected by sensors for the entire code object (105) depending on the position on the code object (105).

Absolute position detection system having a single-track magnetic code tape
A sensor arrangement for an absolute measuring position detection system based on a magnetic code object has a substantially linear arrangement of magnetic field sensors, wherein a bit pattern encoded on a single-track magnetic code object having a uniform bit length is readable by the magnetic field sensors. In the case of a position detection system having the sensor arrangement, the values of magnetic bits are detected in the range of a detected bit sequence and the position of each 0.fwdarw.1 and 1.fwdarw.0 bit transition along a longitudinal axis of a code object is determined from the detected bit values.
POSITION-MEASURING DEVICE FOR MEASURING AN ABSOLUTE POSITION
A position-measuring device and a corresponding method for measuring an absolute position includes a material measure having a first binary code and a second binary code and a sensor device that scans the first and second binary codes. The sensor device scans the first binary code, which has a first number of code words, each having the same code word length. The second binary code of the material measure forms a portion of the first binary code and has a second number of the code words that can be mapped onto the first binary code.
Steering device
A steering device for a vehicle includes a steering rod and at least one drive unit, wherein the steering rod can be displaced along its longitudinal extent by the drive unit. The steering device also includes at least one first sensor device for determining a displacement position of the steering rod. The steering rod, as seen along its longitudinal extent, exhibits at least one change in its cross section, in particular diameter, wherein the first sensor device is designed to sense the change.
POSITION DETECTION APPARATUS
This invention provides a position detection apparatus that improves the position detection accuracy. A position detection apparatus includes an absolute track in which when N is an integer of not less than 2, a recording binary sequence created based on a position detection binary sequence in which identical sequences do not exist no matter which N continuous terms are extracted is recorded, and an absolute sensor unit that reads the recording binary sequence from the absolute track, wherein a plurality of terms included in the recording binary sequence consist of two binary values, and when the two binary values are assumed to be 1 and 0, the recording binary sequence is a sequence obtained by replacing one of two values included in the position detection binary sequence with 10 and the other value in the position detection binary sequence with 01.

Engine synchronisation means
An engine synchronisation arrangement of an internal combustion engine having a crank-shaft and a camshaft geared together with a fixed rotation ratio includes a crank-shaft wheel cooperating with a first sensor and, a camshaft wheel cooperating with a second sensor, both wheels being provided with peripheral features. Both sensors detect the features and communicate to an ECU binary signals. The features of the crank-shaft wheel are arranged in a sequential pattern, and a sliding window of a specific width covers a unique set of features corresponding to a unique string of consecutive bits mapping to a unique angular position of the crank-shaft.
