ENCODER AND CONTROL SYSTEM
A control system includes an encoder and a control device that controls a target object by using information transmitted from the encoder by serial communication. The encoder includes a position information generating unit that generates position information made of a predetermined amount of data and including absolute position data of an object to be detected; a configuration information generating unit that generates configuration information representing a ratio of the absolute position data in the amount of data during serial communication; and a transmission unit that transmits, to the control device, the position information and the configuration information as a series of serial data. The control device includes a reception unit that receives the position information and the configuration information transmitted from the encoder; and a control unit that processes the position information received by the reception unit on the basis of the configuration information received by the reception unit.
ENCODER AND MOTOR USING SAME
An encoder includes a carrier disc, a coded disc, a rotating shaft, a bearing, a bracket, a housing and a sensing assembly is disclosed. The coded disc is disposed on the carrier disc. The rotating shaft includes a first attaching portion and a second attaching portion, and the first attaching portion is partially penetrated through the carrier disc. The bearing includes a bearing inner surface and a bearing outer surface, and the bearing inner surface is connected with the second attaching portion. The bracket includes a bearing attaching portion and a bracket curved feature portion, and the bearing attaching portion is connected with the bearing outer surface. The housing includes a housing curved feature portion, which is connected with the bracket curved feature portion.
MEASURING DEVICE FOR A SPINDLE OR A ROTARY TABLE
A measuring device for a spindle or for a rotary table includes at least two first and second position sensing elements and a scale element, having a first and second graduations and being rotatable about an axis of rotation relative to the position sensing elements. The first graduation includes regular structures arranged in parallel next to one another along a first direction, having a directional component in the circumferential direction. The second graduation includes regular structures arranged in parallel next to one another along a second direction, having a directional component in the axial direction. The first position sensing elements are offset from one another in the circumferential direction, and are able to scan the first graduation so that the position of the scale element in a plane having an orthogonal orientation to the axis of rotation is determinable. In addition, at least one of the first position sensing elements is able to determine an angular position of the scale element in relation to the first position sensing elements in absolute terms within and across a rotation. The second position sensing elements are offset from one another in the circumferential direction, and are able to scan the second graduation, and the axial position of the scale element is able to be determined.
Device and method for displacement measurement used in sensing device
A displacement measurement device for a sensing device. The sensing device includes a first displacement sensor. The displacement measurement device includes: a drive signal generating circuit configured to output a drive signal to the first displacement sensor; a first signal processing circuit configured to receive a signal from the first displacement sensor and output a first ADSO signal; and a computing device including a first timer. The first timer is configured to receive a CLK512 signal and the first ADSO signal, and time or count according to the CLK512 signal and the first ADSO signal; and the CLK512 signal is a square wave signal related to a period and phase of the drive signal.
Inductive angle measuring device
An inductive angle measuring device includes a scanning element and a scale element having scale tracks. First and third scale tracks have an equal first number of scale structures, and a second scale track has a different number of scale structures. The scale tracks are arranged circumferentially and concentrically about an axis, such that the first scale track is located radially inwardly, the second scale track is located radially between the first scale track and the third scale track, and the third scale track is located radially outwardly. The scanning element includes receiver conductors by which the signals having angle-related signal periods can be generated. The first signal period is equal to the third signal period. An overall signal can be generated from the first signal and the third signal and can be combined with the second signal for determining absolute angle position information.
INDUCTIVE POSITION ENCODER UTILIZING SLANTED SCALE PATTERN
An inductive type position encoder includes a scale, a detector portion and a signal processor. According to one aspect, field generating elements and sensing elements of the detector portion are provided on opposite sides of the scale such that at least part of the scale is between the field generating elements and the sensing elements (transmissive configuration). According to another aspect, the scale comprises a periodic scale pattern including signal modulating elements that are disposed along a scale direction, which is not parallel to a measuring axis direction of the encoder and is slanted at a scale angle relative to the measuring axis direction, such that there is a corresponding y-direction displacement for a given x-direction displacement of the encoder. These aspects of the disclosure make it possible to design a very compact inductive type position encoder, including one capable of indicating an absolute position along the scale.
INDUCTIVE POSITION ENCODER UTILIZING TRANSMISSIVE CONFIGURATION
An inductive type position encoder includes a scale, a detector portion and a signal processor. According to one aspect, field generating elements and sensing elements of the detector portion are provided on opposite sides of the scale such that at least part of the scale is between the field generating elements and the sensing elements (transmissive configuration). According to another aspect, the scale comprises a periodic scale pattern including signal modulating elements that are disposed along a scale direction, which is not parallel to a measuring axis direction of the encoder and is slanted at a scale angle relative to the measuring axis direction, such that there is a corresponding y-direction displacement for a given x-direction displacement of the encoder. These aspects of the disclosure make it possible to design a very compact inductive type position encoder, including one capable of indicating an absolute position along the scale.
Position detection apparatus
This invention provides a position detection apparatus that improves the position detection accuracy. A position detection apparatus includes an absolute track in which when N is an integer of not less than 2, a recording binary sequence created based on a position detection binary sequence in which identical sequences do not exist no matter which N continuous terms are extracted is recorded, and an absolute sensor unit that reads the recording binary sequence from the absolute track, wherein a plurality of terms included in the recording binary sequence consist of two binary values, and when the two binary values are assumed to be 1 and 0, the recording binary sequence is a sequence obtained by replacing one of two values included in the position detection binary sequence with 10 and the other value in the position detection binary sequence with 01.
Magnetic position sensor
A device includes a permanent magnetic material extending along a path, a first magnetic angle sensor configured to output at least a first signal and being positioned remotely from the material, and a second magnetic angle sensor configured to output at least one second signal and being positioned remotely from the material and from the first magnetic angle sensor. Based on the at least one first signal and the at least one second signal, a relative positioning of the first magnetic angle sensor and the second magnetic angle sensor with respect to the material in parallel to the path is determined. The magnetization of the material has a periodicity that varies along the path.
