Device and method for measuring amount of liquid chemical in plant protection unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)
11255713 · 2022-02-22 · ·

The present invention relates to a device and method for measuring the amount of a liquid chemical in a plant protection unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). An ultrasonic sensor is adopted to measure a distance between a liquid chemical level in a liquid chemical measuring tube communicated with a liquid chemical tank and a top end of the liquid chemical measuring tube, and then a height of the liquid chemical in the liquid chemical tank is further determined according to an acquired attitude angle of the UAV and a distance between a central position of the liquid chemical measuring tube and a central position of the liquid chemical tank, thereby accurately measuring the amount of the liquid chemical in the liquid chemical tank of the UAV.

ULTRASONIC LEVEL SENSOR WITH REFLECTORS

An ultrasonic level sensor includes: a housing; an ultrasonic transducer having a face surface for emitting an ultrasonic signal; a reflector with a flat surface positioned at an angle with respect to the face surface of the ultrasonic transducer for reflecting and directing the ultrasonic signal to a surface of a material in a container; and a scattering structure to reflect unwanted scattered ultrasonic signals away from the surface of the liquid, wherein the ultrasonic signal is reflected from the surface of the material and from the flat surface of the reflector and received by the ultrasonic transducer.

Device for measuring a filling level of a liquid in a container with an ultrasound sensor

A device for measuring the filling level of a liquid in a container is provided, which uses an ultrasound sensor. The ultrasound sensor is associated with a damping cup with at least one antechamber, and the antechamber has at least one outer ring and one inner ring. The inner ring is arranged within the outer ring and the ceiling of the inner ring has different heights. The ceiling has a lowest point and a highest point. In the area of the ceiling the inner ring is provided with a venting connection with the outer ring. The venting connection between the inner ring and the outer ring is located at the highest point of the inner ring. The ceiling of the outer ring has different heights including a lowest point and a highest point. A vent hole is provided at the highest point of the outer ring.

INTERFACE POSITION DETERMINING APPARATUS AND METHOD

All interface position determining apparatus includes a transmitter that transmits au acoustic wave from a plurality of positions in an accumulating direction in which impurities contained in a liquid accumulate, from an outside of a wall surrounding the liquid; a receiver that receives the acoustic wave transmitted from the transmitter at a plurality of positions; and a determining unit that determines a position of an interface between a liquid layer and a sludge layer in the accumulating direction based on a condition of the acoustic wave received by the receiver.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING A FILL LEVEL OF A FLUID IN A TANK

A method and an apparatus for determining the fill level of a fluid (2) in a tank (1), wherein a propagation time of an ultrasonic signal between an ultrasound element (4) and a reflection at the surface (3) of the fluid (2) is measured. A first, single reflection and a second, double reflection are evaluated, wherein the measurement of the reflections is carried out with a measurement setting with an excitation energy of the ultrasonic signal and a sensitivity. The sensitivity is indicated by a gain and a comparison value (13). Via measurements with different measurement settings, a suspected first reflection and a suspected second reflection are located and a plausibility check is carried out of the propagation times of the first and second reflections with respect to each other.
