Signal transmitter for a fill level sensor of a container of a motor vehicle, and method for producing a signal transmitter for a fill level sensor of a container of a motor vehicle

A signal transmitter for a fill level sensor, a conductor path arrangement is printed on a resistor arrangement. The resistor arrangement is located below a slideway and is accessible between conductor path sections for trimming of the resistor. The signal transmitter is of particularly compact configuration and can be produced at low cost.

Liquid Level Sensor

A liquid level sensor includes a base member disposed above the liquid. A lever arm is pivotally attached to the base member. The lever arm is configured to interact with the liquid so that it has an angular displacement relative to the base member. The angular displacement is a function of the level of the liquid in the liquid channel. A sensor senses angular displacement of the lever arm. A communications circuit transmits the angular displacement of the lever arm to a remote location. In a method of detecting a liquid level, a float that is buoyant in the liquid is placed into the liquid and is coupled to a lever arm. An angular displacement of the lever arm relative to a base member is measured. The liquid level is a function of the angular displacement of the lever arm.

Provided is a fuel level sensing apparatus for a fuel tank for sensing a remaining fuel level of the fuel tank through a variation in a measured resistance value depending on a position of a wiper in contact with a resistance substrate. The resistance substrate includes a first segment part and a second segment part disposed to be spaced apart from each other. A resistance setting part of the second segment part is connected to positive electrode terminals, and a connecting part of the first segment part is connected to a negative electrode terminal by a negative electrode lead. A connection point of the negative electrode lead connected to the connecting part is formed between both ends of the connecting part in a length direction. A resistance deviation in a measured resistance value depending on a change in the position of the wiper may be reduced.

Printed circuit board and sensor

A printed circuit board having conductor tracks formed on one side of a substrate. The substrate is able to be cohesively bonded at a contact face to a cover for protecting the conductor tracks. In this case, the substrate includes a step, which forms a barrier with respect to an auxiliary material for promoting the cohesive bond, in order to prevent any wetting of the conductor tracks with the auxiliary material. A sensor having a printed circuit board for use in a fuel filling level measurement system of a vehicle.

LIQUID LEVEL DETECTION DEVICE

A liquid level detection device is disposed in a container having a viscous liquid. The liquid level detection device includes an installing seat, a connecting rod, a pivoting structure connecting the installing seat and one end of the connecting rod, and a floating element disposed at one end of the connecting rod opposite to the installing seat. Further, the liquid level detection device includes a protecting bladder disposed to correspond to the pivoting structure. The protecting bladder divides the liquid level detection device into a coated part and an exposed part. One end of the floating element opposite to the installing seat is the exposed part. The protecting bladder isolates the viscous liquid from contacting with the pivoting structure to prevent excessive viscous liquid from remaining on the pivoting structure and avoid the problem of misoperation of the liquid level detection device caused by the influence of the protecting bladder.

Fuel level sensor with spring-loaded wiper contacts

Methods and systems are provided for a fuel delivery system and a fuel level sensor assembly thereof. In one example, a fuel level sensor includes a wiper assembly with spring-loaded wiper contacts. Cylindrical springs are provided between a wiper housing and the contacts to bias the wiper contacts into contact with a resistive card.

A flow or level switch comprises a sensor/switch assembly which is adapted for mounting in connection with either a fitting having an offset defining a channel to detect fluid flow through an orifice into the channel or a tank having a ball float to detect the level of the ball float in the tank. A switch module comprises a control rod which reciprocates and activates a switch unit having a bi-positionable contact member. A follower, which may be in the form of an axle with an angularly fixed projection, engages the control rod to cause the contact member to move.

Vehicle Fuel Level Estimation

Estimating fuel consumptions of a vehicle is disclosed. A first fuel consumption value in a first time interval is estimated using fuel-sender resistance data. A second fuel consumption value in a second time interval is estimated using fuel-injected mass data. At least the first fuel consumption value and the second fuel consumption value are combined to obtain a fuel consumption value. The fuel consumption value is then output.

Techniques that enable the installation of a level sensor capable of continuously detecting a level of fluid in a vessel or tank and capable of being integrated in a larger control system. Advantageously, the sensor head of the level sensor can be installed on existing installations with an existing displacer or float and an existing member or rod. The techniques thus enable process plants to easily and affordably replace pneumatic level sensors with a more environmentally friendly option.
