Interchangeable coolant sensor for vehicle applications and methods of manufacture and use thereof

The present disclosure relates to a coolant level sensor device for application in vehicles, comprising three interoperable component parts: a housing component, an interchangeable cartridge assembly, and a resistor pigtail. The housing component may be configured to permanently and/or semi-permanently reside within the engine cooling system such that the housing component may receive the interchangeable cartridge assembly selectively connected with the resistor pigtail. The interchangeable cartridge assembly may comprise a reed switch that may be replaceable when damaged. Further, the interchangeable cartridge mechanism may be configured to connect with the resistor pigtail, which may include at least one resistor, such that the at least one resistor may be removed from close proximity to the high temperatures generated by the engine, thus increasing the life of the resistor components. This three part configuration may allow for the easy replacement of elements of the coolant level sensor prone to failure, without the need to replace functioning components.

SWITCHING DEVICE AND A LIQUID LEVEL DETECTION APPARATUS EMPLOYING THE SWITCHING DEVICE
20230132194 · 2023-04-27 · ·

A switching device includes a first enclosure containing a switch, a rod-shaped second enclosure having a second end connected to the first enclosure, a detector unit in the second enclosure, and a float disposed around the second enclosure and capable of moving along it. As the float moves from the first end of the second enclosure toward the second end, when the float enters a first position range, a first position sensor senses the float and transmits a first sensing signal to a detection circuit; when the float enters a second position range, a second position sensor senses the float and transmits a second sensing signal to the detection circuit. The detection circuit close a switch in response to the second sensing signal to turn on an external appliance. The switching device is flexible, reliable, and inexpensive to produce.

A sensor comprises a protecting tube fixed to a through hole formed in a partition of a container, a detection part arranged inside the protecting tube, conducting wires connected with the detection part in the inside of the protecting tube, and a fixing member fixed to the partition, and the conducting wires are detachably fixed to the fixing member outside the protecting tube. In a preferred embodiment, the container is an airtight container, and the protecting tube is fixed to the partition indivisibly and integrally. Thereby, a sensor which comprises a detection part and conducting wires in the inside of a protecting tube fixed to a partition of a container and makes it possible to easily exchange a part of members at the time of malfunction and easily adjust a position of the detection part, etc., by a simple structure can be provided.

APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MONITORING THE LEVEL OF A LIQUID MEDIUM IN A CONTAINER
20230194327 · 2023-06-22 ·

An apparatus for monitoring of a level of a liquid within a container, the apparatus comprising: at least one permanent magnet embedded within an attachment band disposed on the exterior wall of the container, or in a float disposed within said container and free-floating or immersed on said liquid, an electric circuitry comprising an electric power source, alarming device and at least one magnetic proximity sensor embedded respectively into the float disposed within said container and free-floating or immersed in the liquid or in the attachment band. The float moves laterally and vertically into and out of proximity of the attachment band, with variance of the level of the liquid, wherein the proximity of the float to the attachment band is sensed by the at least one magnetic proximity sensor, when the float is in close proximity to the attachment band, thereby activating the alarming device to notify a user/caregiver about possible depletion of liquid within the container.

WIRELESS DRINK CONTAINER FOR MONITORING HYDRATION

A wireless drink container can monitor a person's hydration and prompt him or her to drink more if appropriate. The drink containers as described herein can monitor liquid levels and communicate with external devices about the liquid levels and rate of consumption. One or more sensors in the drink container monitor the liquid level within the container. A processor coupled to the sensor(s) estimates how much liquid has been removed from the container from changes in the liquid level and transmits a signal representing the change in liquid level to a smartphone or other external device. It also triggers an audio or visual indicator, such as an LED, that prompts the user to drink more based on the user's estimated liquid consumption and on the user's liquid consumption goals, which may be based on the user's physiology, activity level, and location.

Method and System for Monitoring a State
