Sealable package weighing and labeling system
A weighing and labeling system has an electronic scale, label printer, and at least one controller. The controller stores information about incoming food packages and drives the printer to produce labels based on the stored information and the weight of the food packages. The labels are transferred to the food packages. Some elements of the system are located in sealable cabinets, and further, some of the elements are mounted on the interior surface on doors hinged to the sealable cabinets. This is advantageous in food production environments requiring frequent cleaning of equipment with sprayed water. In some embodiments the sealable cabinets are positioned on vertical masts and rotatable on the masts.

Apparatus and method for waste monitoring and analysis
Provided herein are devices, systems, and methods for measuring waste material weight within two or more waste collection bins The bins can be measured using one or more waste measurement devices, and the measurements can be collected and transmitted to networked data storage. Waste measurement data can be collected over time from multiple bin locations, and the stored data can be analyzed and processed to generate reports and ratings of waste collection, disposal, and diversion trends over time. Also provided are waste audit methods and platforms that simplify and streamline data measurement, recording, and analyzing. The audit methods can transfer data electronically to a computer or cloud platform, automatically plot and compare results, and generate reports to be shared with a user or client.
System and method for printing using extraction setting information
An aspect of the present invention is a printer communicable with an external device in accordance with a predetermined communication protocol. The printer includes: a data reception unit configured to receive data containing a character string to be printed, from the external device; an acquisition unit configured to acquire extraction setting information that is information relating to a method of extracting the character string contained in the data that is received by the data reception unit; an extraction unit configured to, upon receiving the data from the external device, extract the character string from the received data, based on the extraction setting information that is acquired by the acquisition unit; and a print unit configured to print the character string that is extracted by the extraction unit, on a print medium.
WEIGHING SYSTEM AND WEIGHING METHOD WITH OBJECT RECOGNITION
A weighing method comprises the steps of: recognizing one or more objects to be detected on a first scale platform top (A) or within an object recognition area of the first scale platform top (A), and weighing the objects to be detected that are placed on a second scale platform top (B). A weighing system comprises at least two scales having scale platform tops utilizing the weighing method outlined above. The weighing method reduces the difficulty of algorithm recognition by increasing the degree to which the object on the weighting platform fits the algorithm, reduces the complexity of operation flow and the time required, and effectively increases the precision and accuracy of object recognition.

Meal lifecycle management method and system
A pressure-sensitive device and a computing device are configured to register various steps of a meal lifecycle, including one or more of food purchasing, meal preparation, the serving and consumption of a meal, use of leftovers, management of food inventory, the transferring of a food item from one container to another, the transferring of a food item into a container, the transferring of a portion of a food item into a container. A food item may be automatically identified based on a weight and footprint of the food item. In some instances, a database associates a food item with multiple footprints such that a food item may be identified regardless of its orientation on the pressure-sensitive device.
