20240418566 · 2024-12-19 ·

The present invention provides an ambient light sensor with ultraviolet light detection function, which is adopted to receive external light for sensing. The ambient light sensor comprises a visible light sensing chip and a wavelength conversion layer. The visible light sensing chip is used for sensing light corresponding to the response band of visible light, and the visible light sensing chip includes a light receiving surface. The wavelength conversion layer is used to convert light corresponding to a specific ultraviolet light band of the external light into light corresponding to a response band of visible light, and the wavelength conversion layer covers at least a part of the light receiving surface.

Systems and methods are provided for calibrating spectral measurements taken of one or more targets from an aerial vehicle. Multiple photo sensors may be configured to obtain spectral measurements of one or more ambient light sources. The obtained spectral measurements of the one or more ambient light sources may be used to calibrate the obtained spectral measurements of the target.

Protective mask for an optical receiver

An optical receiver including an ASIC, a light detector element, and a protective mask is disclosed. The light detector element is disposed on the ASIC and has a top surface oriented toward incident light, the top surface including a portion configured to receive the incident light and via which the incident light reaches an active area of the light detector element. The protective mask is placed over the ASIC so as to (i) cover, from the incident light, a portion of the ASIC, and (ii) provide an aperture that defines an optical path for the incident light through the protective mask to the portion of the top surface of the light detector element.

Photodiodes for ambient light sensing and proximity sensing

Ambient light sensing and proximity sensing is accomplished using pairs of stacked photodiodes. Each pair includes a shallow diode with a shallow junction depth that is more sensitive to light having a shorter wavelength and a deeper diode with a deeper junction depth more sensitive to light with longer wavelengths. Photodiodes receiving light passed through cyan, yellow, and magenta filters and light passed without a color filter are used to generate red, green, and blue information through a subtractive approach. The shallow diodes are used to generate lux values for ambient light and the deeper diodes are used for proximity sensing. One or more of the deep diodes may be used in correction to lux determinations of ambient light.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REDUCING EXTRINSIC DARK COUNT OF NANOWIRE SINGLE PHOTON DETECTOR

A method and a device for reducing the extrinsic dark count of a superconducting nanowire single photon detector (SNSPD), it comprises the steps of: integrating a multi-layer film filter on the superconducting nanowire single photon detector; the multi-layer film filter is a device implemented by a multi-layer dielectric film and having a band-pass filtering function. The extrinsic dark count is the dark count triggered by optical fiber blackbody radiance and external stray light. The superconducting nanowire single photon detector comprises: a substrate having an upper surface integrated with an upper anti-reflection layer and a lower surface integrated with a lower anti-reflection layer; an optical cavity structure; a superconducting nanowire; and a reflector. The present invention is easy to operate, and only needs to integrate the multi-layer film filter on the substrate of the SNSPD to filter non-signal radiation.
