DETECTION DEVICE
According to an aspect, a detection device includes: a light source device; an object placement member; an electrochromic shutter having a plurality of divided regions arranged in a plane; and an optical sensor having a plurality of detection regions arranged in a plane. One of the detection regions includes one or more photodetection elements. The divided regions in the electrochromic shutter are capable of being switched between a light-transmitting state and a non-light-transmitting state for each of the divided regions, and the light-emitting elements are each capable of being switched between a lit state and an unlit state. The respective light-emitting elements, the respective divided regions of the electrochromic shutter, and the respective detection regions overlap when viewed in the first direction.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR MEASURING DIRECTIONALLY AND SPATIALLY RESOLVED SHORTWAVE RADIATION
Disclosed is a device that will take radiometric images of the shortwave spectrum from 0.2-2 m, which can then be processed into a spherical panoramic image. This single source of data can then be used to produce a wide range of functional outputs for radiative energy analysis, from architectural performance and thermal comfort analysis to replacing the array of sensors required to make specific biometeorological measurements, such as Global Horizontal Irradiance (GHI), Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI), Diffuse Horizontal Irradiance (DHI), Sky View Factor (SVF), and/or Global Tilted Irradiance (GTI). The data is also combined with a longwave array detector to produce full-spectrum radiative energy measurements.
Methods of operation of image sensor
Disclosed herein is a method comprising: sending radiation pulses (i), i=1, . . . , M one by one toward an object and toward an image sensor as the image sensor moves nonstop in a first direction with respect to the object; and for each value of i, capturing with the image sensor a partial image (i) of the object using radiation of the radiation pulse (i) that has transmitted through the object. The image sensor comprises N active areas. Each active area of the N active areas comprises multiple sensing elements. For each value of i, the radiation pulse (i) has a pulse duration during which the image sensor travels a distance shorter than a width measured in the first direction of any sensing element of the image sensor. M and N are integers greater than 1.
DETECTION DEVICE
According to an aspect, a detection device includes: a light source device including light-emitting elements arranged in a planar configuration; a light-transmitting placement substrate on which an object to be detected is to be placed; an electronic shutter having divided areas; and an optical sensor having detection areas arranged in a planar configuration. Each of the detection areas includes one or more photodetection elements. The divided areas in the electronic shutter are switchable between a light-transmitting state and a non-light-transmitting state for each of the divided areas, and the light-emitting elements are switchable between on and off for each of the light-emitting elements. Each of the light-emitting elements, one of the divided areas of the electronic shutter corresponding to the light-emitting element, and one of the detection areas corresponding to the light-emitting element overlap one another, as viewed from the first direction.
