The lid assembly includes a latch arrangement and defines a second securing mount.

METHOD FOR SAMPLING GROUNDWATER

The disclosure provides a method for sampling groundwater. The method includes extracting groundwater from a monitoring well in a first flow rate; monitoring groundwater level in real-time, and calculating a decrease of the groundwater level during the extracting in the first flow rate based on the real-time monitored groundwater level; when the decrease of the groundwater level is equal to a first value, extracting groundwater from the monitoring well in a second flow rate, the second flow rate being smaller than the first flow rate; and when the groundwater level is in an equilibration state, extracting groundwater from the monitoring well and using the extracted groundwater at this time as a representative groundwater.

Method and apparatus for controlling sampling of events involving a fluid control
10753830 · 2020-08-25 ·

A method and apparatus controls the sampling of a fluid flow related event by: receiving a selection of one or more situational parameters and a selection of a calculation basis parameter and value; performing a computation that calculates and outputs a result containing a listing of parameters and two sets of associated parameter values corresponding to a flow trigger, based on the selected calculation basis parameter and the selected situational parameters. The parameter values include both a precise computational result and a situation-specific best fit result. The method includes triggering a sampling mechanism to initiate collection of samples of the fluid flow based on the best fit result. The computation of the result comprises: executing a fluid flow trigger calculation program that computes the flow trigger based on an analysis of both the situational parameters with associated situational parameter values and the selected calculation basis parameter.

An automatic fluid sampler works in conjunction with a conventional oil well test system. The sampler utilizes a rotating platter which aligns the mouth of a sampling container with a conduit for delivery of a composite sample which is provided in incremental volumes over the duration of a well test event. Upon completion of the well test, a fresh container is rotated to be in position to receive a composite sample for a new well test event.

SAMPLING APPARATUS
20200110007 · 2020-04-09 ·

An apparatus for obtaining samples from a process, and which can be located in the process, which comprises a gate which reciprocates between a first position and a second position to fill and empty a sample chamber via corresponding inlets and outlets. The gate may pivot within the chamber about a longitudinal axis through the chamber, and a dam prevents fluid flow directly between the inlets and outlets. The inlets may provide outlets, and vice versa, depending on the direction of movement of the gate. Means such as pumps may be provided to agitate the fluid samples obtained by the apparatus, and sensors mounted in the sample chamber (for example on the gate or on the dam) can perform measurements on the samples. Wipers may be provided on the gate to assist in the ingress and egress of samples into and out of the sample chamber. It is also possible to inoculate the fluid samples within the sample chamber.

Method and Device for Estimating Value to be Estimated Associated with Specimen

The present invention provides a method and a device for estimating a value to be estimated associated with a specimen, by performing machine learning of a relationship between a value of an estimation object and an output corresponding thereto, based on an output from a chemical sensor with regard to a plurality of specimens for which specific values to be estimated are known, and using the result of the mechanical learning to estimate a specific value to be estimated on the basis of an output from the chemical sensor with regard to a given unknown specimen.

Milking system with detection system

A milking system includes a milking device, a milk line, and a sampling and analysis device for the milk that includes a control unit, a tape mover to move and unwind a tape wound on a tape reel and with a base material with reagent pads, that detect a substance in the sample, and a dosing device to provide the sample onto a reagent pad, and a sensor to detect radiation from said reagent pad, and to analyse the detected radiation to indicate a presence or concentration of said substance. The reagent pad is facing downward during provision of the sample. In this way, the chance of excess liquid falling from the reagent, and possibly onto a camera, is reduced. Smaller reagent pads may be used, it reduces the chance of supplied liquid spilling over to a neighbouring reagent pad, the measures preventing this spilling may be limited, and it is easier to suck away excess fluid.

Multi-source, flow-weighted composite sample system

A sampling device having at least two inputs each configured to receive samples from a corresponding feedstock input line and a sample accumulator. The device also includes a mass flow controller associated with each feedstock input line, each mass flow controller having a sample output and being configured to receive a signal representative of the flow rate at each input, where each mass flow controller adjusts the flow rate of its respective sample from its respective sample output in response to receiving representative signals. Further the device includes at least a first and second sample output line respectively connected with a sample output of each mass flow controller, each sample output line being connected to an input of the sample accumulator for introduction to the sample accumulator of samples from the output of the mass flow controllers.
