DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TESTING PACKAGED FOODSTUFFS FOR THE PRESENCE OF MICROORGANISMS
A device and method for testing foodstuffs for the presence of microorganisms including an infeed unit for a package containing a foodstuff, a sample analysis device configured to take a sample of the foodstuff and test for the presence of microorganisms, a discharge unit for discharging the package, and a display for displaying the results of testing by the sample analysis device.
SOIL PROBE ASSEMBLY HAVING A MULTIFACETED PROBE WHEEL
A soil probe assembly includes a frame member and a wheel rotatably coupled to the frame member. The wheel includes one or more soil probes that, as the wheel rotates against the earth, the weight of the soil probe assembly drives the soil probes into the earth. The wheel is configured to have at least two planar edges such that, as the wheel rolls onto one of the at least two planar edges, a slamming effect occurs due to the planar edge impacting against the ground, thus causing a soil sample to eject from a soil probe located across the wheel from the ground. The ejected soil sample is collected by a collection hamper. The assembly includes a funnel and a carousel such that the funnel is configured to receive and direct the ejected soil sample to the collection hamper, wherein the collection hamper is coupled to the carousel.
Flushing device for a milk sampler
A sampler including an inlet, an outlet and a flushing device. The sampler adapted such that a sample fluid flows from the inlet, out the outlet and into sample containers. The flushing device is adapted to flush a pressurised pressurized flushing fluid past all surfaces of the sampler which are adapted to contact the sample fluid.
Milking system with detection system
A milking system includes a device to sample and analyse a milk sample, including a control unit, a sample supply line connected to the milk line, a pump to control the sample flow, an optical radiation source, and an optical sensor device to detect and analyse optical radiation coming from the reagent pad with said sample, to provide an indication of a substance in the sample, a tape mover to move and unwind the tape from the tape reel, and a pump drive, external to the cassette, and releasably operably connected to the pump device for driving the pump device. The sampling and analysis device also includes a cassette with a sample receiving line, releasably connected to the sample supply line by a liquid connector, and arranged to receive the sample from the sample supply line, a tape reel with a tape that includes a base tape layer and a series of separate reagent pads, and a dosing device to provide a droplet of the sample onto a reagent pad. The dosing device includes a nozzle in fluid connection with the sample receiving line, and a nozzle mover arranged to move the nozzle in at least a longitudinal direction. The cassette is replaceably received in the milking system. Hereby, a large number of parts that are subject to wear and contamination by milk residues are exchanged regularly, which improves measurement reliability and accuracy.
Sampling Device For A Medical Sterilization Device
A sampling device and associated methods for collecting a plurality of samples of a solution in a medical sterilization device. The sampling device includes a base configured to support a plurality of vessels, and a cover. The cover and the vessels define an orientation in relation to each other with the orientation having a first position permitting ingress of the solution into a first vessel and preventing ingress of the solution into the second vessel, a second position permitting ingress of the solution into a second vessel and preventing ingress of the solution into the first vessel. The sampling device may alternatively comprise a plurality of covers each coupled to one of the vessels. Actuators may move the covers between configurations permitting and preventing ingress of the solution into the vessels. Control of the covers may be based on analytical characteristics measured in by a sensor within a flow path.

Inspection system for a plurality of separable inspection objects
An inspection system for a plurality of separable inspection objects, which may accommodate different inspection applications and facilitate the use of linear or straight sections in the conveying path. The inspection system may include a feed device for inspection objects, a conveying device for inspection objects, an inspection unit, and an ejecting device. The feed device is configured to feed the inspection objects to a feed position of the conveying device. The conveying device includes a plurality of receptacles, with each receptacle being configured and disposed such that exactly one inspection object of the plurality of inspection objects can be conveyed along a conveying path in said receptacle and that two respective inspection objects from the plurality of inspection objects have a spacing along the conveying path that is defined by the plurality of receptacles. The inspection unit is disposed at an inspection position on the conveying path.
Devices and methods for pipette alignment
A device comprising a base and a support structure is disclosed. The base includes a vial receptacle for holding a vial. The support structure is coupled to an upper portion of the base and is configured to align a pipette comprising a pipette tip vertically over the vial receptacle. The support structure is configured to support a pipette such that an end of a pipette tip is positioned one or more predetermined depths within a vial in the vial receptacle.
