Particle concentration analyzing system and method
A particle concentration analyzing system for testing particle concentrations in a fluid sample, such as engine emission particle concentration present in the exhaust of an engine. The particle concentration analyzing system includes a condensation particle counter having a saturation chamber, a condenser, and a laser optic particle counter. The analyzing system further includes a working fluid tank, a working fluid pump, and a sampling probe. The system provides a robust analysis system for a user to test vehicle emissions without being highly trained on the device, as the device is protected from misuse. A position sensitive sensor is used to ensure that the system is not damaged if the system is tipped over or placed in a position that would produce false results. Additional features include differential pressure sensors, a sealed and replaceable tamper resistant working fluid tank, a solvent recovery system, an anti-cheat device, and fluid purity sensors.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR UNIFIED SAMPLING OF PARTICULATE MATTER FOR REDUCING THE DISPERSION OF RESULTS IN VEHICLE EMISSIONS TESTS
The present invention provides a system and a method for determining the particulate matter mass in vehicle emissions tests, seeking to improve weighing resolution and reduce experimental uncertainties. The invention presents two embodiments, in which in the first embodiment there is a branch in the vehicle emissions collection equipment that allows to integrate the particulate matter generated during the entire test into a single filter. In the second embodiment, there are two branches in which one branch has a filter for the accumulation of the particulates produced in phases 1 and 2 of the test and the other branch has another filter for the accumulation of the particulates in phases 2 and 3.
EXHAUST GAS ANALYSIS SYSTEM, RECORDING MEDIUM RECORDED WITH PROGRAM FOR EXHAUST GAS ANALYSIS SYSTEM, AND EXHAUST GAS ANALYZING METHOD
An exhaust gas analysis system is adapted to include an exhaust gas circulation line through which exhaust gas flows, an exhaust gas collection line adapted to collect the exhaust gas from the exhaust gas circulation line and introduce the collected exhaust gas into an exhaust gas analysis device, a continuous analysis line adapted to, separately from the diluted exhaust gas collection line, collect the exhaust gas from the exhaust gas circulation line for continuous analysis, a continuous analyzer provided in the continuous analysis line, and an information processing unit adapted to, on the basis of an analysis result by the continuous analyzer at the time of the collection into the exhaust gas analysis device, determine whether a measurement result of the exhaust gas introduced into the exhaust gas analysis device falls within a preset range, or determine a measurement range used to measure the exhaust gas introduced into the exhaust gas analysis device.
PARTICULATE DETECTION SYSTEM
In a particulate detection system (10), a control board (911), a high voltage generation board (913) and an isolation transformer (720) are respectively disposed in a first space (921d) and a second space (921e) separated from each other by an inner case (923). When electromagnetic noise is generated in the high voltage generation board (913) and the isolation transformer (720); specifically, at the primary winding of the isolation transformer 720, at the time of switching the primary current supply, the electromagnetic noise is blocked by the inner case (923). This configuration reduces the influence of electromagnetic noise generated in the primary winding on the control board (911).
Emissions measurement equipment and method
An emissions test apparatus is provided and may include a filter housing having at least one of a first RFID tag and a first bar code identifying the filter housing. A filter media may be selectively disposed within the filter housing and may include at least one of a second RFID tag and a second bar code identifying the filter media. A controller may link the filter housing and the filter media when the filter media is disposed within the filter housing based on information provided by the at least one of the first RFID tag and the first bar code and the at least one of the second RFID tag and the second bar code.
Assembly and method for determining lambda values
An assembly for determining lambda values of an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine is provided. The internal combustion engine is attached to an exhaust gas treatment device with at least one first catalyst and a second catalyst. Additionally, the assembly has the following: a first lambda sensor in a first removal line, wherein the first removal line is designed to remove a part of the exhaust gas upon entering the first catalyst and conduct same back into the exhaust gas treatment device after the exhaust gas passes the first lambda sensor, and the first lambda sensor and at least one part of the first removal line are arranged outside of the exhaust gas treatment device; and a second lambda sensor in a second removal line, wherein the second removal line is designed to remove a part of the exhaust gas between the first catalyst and the second catalyst and conduct same back into the exhaust gas treatment device after the exhaust gas passes the second lambda sensor, and the second lambda sensor and at least one part of the second removal line are arranged outside of the exhaust gas treatment device.
FILTER FAILURE DETECTION DEVICE, AND PARTICULATE MATTER DETECTION DEVICE
A control unit (6) estimates an output value of a PM sensor (S2) located at a downstream side of a DPF used as a reference filter, and detects whether the estimated output value exceeds a predetermined value (S3). When the estimated output value exceeds the predetermined value (YES in S3), the control unit detects an output value of the PM sensor (S4), and a heater heats the PM sensor (S5). The control unit detects an output value of the PM sensor (S6) after the PM sensor is heated, and calculates a change ratio of the output values of the PM sensor before and after heating (S7). The control unit estimates an average particle size of PM based on the calculated change ratio (S8), and detects whether the DPF has failed based on a comparison result of a corrected output value of the PM sensor with a threshold value.
Exhaust gas analyzer verification system
A verification system includes a reference gas supply part that supplies reference gas in place of exhaust gas and is configured to be able to verify the consistency between a supply amount of the reference gas from the reference gas supply part and a measured value of the reference gas measured by an analyzer. The verification system further includes a control part that receives a setting flow rate signal that is a signal indicating a setting flow rate and an analysis range signal that is a signal indicating an analysis range of the analyzer, calculates a target supply amount of the reference gas on the basis of the setting flow rate and the analysis range indicated by the respective signals, and controls the reference gas supply part so as to make the reference gas supply amount by the reference gas supply part equal to the target supply amount.
Exhaust gas mixer and constant volume sampling apparatus
The present invention is intended to reduce noise or vibration occurring in an exhaust gas mixer, and provided with: a mixer main body that has a hollow part extending in an axial direction; an inner pipe part that is provided in the hollow part along the axial direction; a gas introduction part that is provided to the mixer main body, and introduces mixing target gas into a space to spiral the mixing target gas; and a gas lead-out part that is provided in the inner pipe part to lead out the mixing target gas, wherein a central axis of the inner pipe part and a central axis of the hollow part are provided in mutually different positions.
EXHAUST GAS SENSOR ASSEMBLY
An exhaust gas sensor assembly for a vehicle includes a sampling tube having a proximal end connectable to a housing and a distal end configured to be suspended with a cavity of the housing. The tube defines a hollow center, an inlet, an outlet, and an exhaust gas flow path extending from the inlet, through the hollow center, and to the outlet. An exhaust gas sensor is disposed in the hollow center at the proximal end and includes a sensing element disposed in the exhaust gas flow path. a flow guide is disposed in the hollow center between the inlet and the sensing element and is configured to redirect the flow path through a passageway defined between the tube and the flow guide.
