Gas sampling with controlled humidity
A sensor system (100) or a sensing method minimizes the loss of aroma chemicals or other analytes in a sample gas while controlling the temperature and humidity of the sample gas. The system (100) may employ a humidifier (120) that adds water vapor to sample gas to provide a known water content, e.g., a saturated humidity at a known temperature. A sensing unit (130) may accurately measure the composition of the sample gas having a known water content, e.g., at a higher known temperature.
Method for extracting and detecting volatile organic compounds
A method for extracting and detecting volatile organic compounds includes steps as follows. At least one effervescent tablet is provided, wherein the effervescent tablet is produced by mixing an acidic compound and an alkaline compound homogeneously. An extraction and detection apparatus is provided, wherein the extraction and detection apparatus includes an extraction chamber, an injection tube and a detection instrument. An extraction step is performed, wherein a liquid matrix is put into the extraction chamber, and the effervescent tablet is added into the liquid matrix to generate bubbles, the volatile organic compounds are extracted from the liquid matrix by the bubbles, and the bubbles enter into the headspace of the extraction chamber. A detection step is performed, wherein the volatile organic compounds extracted during the extraction step are transferred to the detection instrument via the injection tube so as to detect the volatile organic compounds.
Combustion Analyzer

The analyzer unit includes a condensation removal unit and two or more electrochemical sensors to detect at least oxygen and carbon monoxide. The analyzer unit also includes a means for sealing or isolating the electrochemical sensor inputs to prevent oxidation of the reactive elements when the unit is not in use.
Distillation probes and methods for sampling and conditioning a fluid
A distillation probe includes a conduit having a central axis. In addition, the distillation probe includes a baffle assembly disposed in the conduit. The baffle assembly includes a plurality of axially-spaced baffles positioned one-above-the-other in a stack within the conduit. Further, the distillation probe includes a first helical cooling coil wrapped around the conduit. Moreover, the distillation probe includes a thermally conductive layer disposed about the conduit and encapsulating the first helical cooling coil. The thermally conductive layer is configured to transfer thermal energy between the first helical cooling coil and the conduit.

Wet gas lateral sampling system and method
A system for on-stream sampling of pressurized process gas such as natural gas or the like, said system optimized for use with pressurized process gas having liquid entrained therein, or otherwise referenced as wet. In the preferred embodiment, a probe and method of sampling is contemplated to provide linear sample of fluids from a predetermined area of said fluid stream. Further taught is the method of preventing compositional disassociation of a gas sample having entrained liquid utilizing a probe having a passage formed to facilitate capillary action in fluid(s) passing therethrough. The present invention further contemplates the use of a screen or membrane provided exterior the probe tip body to block or lessen the likelihood of undesirable particulates or liquids from entering the probe.
