Gas detector tube template and methods of reading gas detector tubes
10379055 · 2019-08-13 · ·

Gas detector tube templates are described. Gas detector tubes may be used to determine the concentration of target gases in a sampled gas either visually or electronically. Gas detector tubes for visual reading have the length-of-stain demarcations printed or etched on the transparent tube. However, the demarcations may interfere with electronic reading of gas detector tubes. Embodiments of a gas detector tube template may be used to accurately and reliably read gas detector tubes that do not have concentration demarcations printed on the tube in the working area adjacent to the chemical reagent. The gas detector tube template may have a gas detector tube holder capable of reversibly receiving a gas detector tube and two scale card holders. The gas detector tube template could have a left and right scale holder hingedly connected to the gas detector tube holder. The gas detector tube template may be used with scale cards capable of being, reversibly received in the scale rockets.

Method of testing the color quality of a colored gemstone
10330605 · 2019-06-25 ·

A method of testing the color quality of a colored gemstone is disclosed, taking the gem color as an entirety visually composed of different color components, whose total amount of color components is constant, so as to calculate hue-purity, color-strength and relative chromaticity of the gem color to test the color quality. The method comprises the following steps: (1) determining blackness, chromaticness, and hue of the gem color; (2) calculating the hue-purity, color-strength and relative chromaticity in accordance with the blackness, chromaticness, and hue; (3) finding a matching color in a pre-established standard color library for this specific gemstone according to the hue-purity, color-strength and relative chromaticity calculated in step (2), and use the name of the matching color to indicate the gem color and color quality.

Clothing Cuff Clip with Contamination Indicator
20240206577 · 2024-06-27 ·

A clothing cuff clip attachable to an article of clothing, especially a pants leg cuff, to gather and lift the clothing up from an adjacent surface and provide a modest barrier between the surface and the clothing item being worn. The clothing cuff clip is inexpensive to manufacture in large quantities and may be disposable after extended use. The clip is easy to attach to the lower back edge of the pants leg cuff on the item of clothing being worn and yet remains securely attached even after extended use. Optionally, a contamination indicator that changes in appearance when subjected to significant moisture, a change in pH, or the presence of a selected contaminant material, is positioned on the lower floor contact area of the clip to provide the wearer with an indication of when the clip, and therefore the item of clothing, has come into contact with contaminated materials.
